Dang, I’ve always liked your truck and followed the thread, it inspired a few mods on my build. Too bad you weren’t a little closer, I wouldn’t mind making an offer for that Wildernest.

Thats awesome man! I’m still trying to process it and I haven’t even worked on a for sale ad.

There’s a slim chance that I keep it and continue to work on it but it all depends on whether 1. I get the right offer for it, or 2. My company decides to delay our return to office again.:fingerscrossed:

Some pics of the Wildernest I haven’t posted yet:

If saw your IG post bro, sorry to hear. Remember that Wildernest website I sent you, offer it there first please. Give people a chance to own something they've been hunting for.

Talked to my team at work today. We’re going to see how the first month of the new year goes. Might end up not having to commute to work full time again.

Since March 2020 I’ve been working from home. About a month ago we went to a 3 day a week onsite flexible schedule. If we’re able to keep this schedule than the truck definitely stays.

I’ll definitely consider posting the wildernest on that site if I decide to part with it.

Don't you have 4 cars? Just leave the truck at home and drive one of the others if you have to commute. Problem solved lol!

BTW lemme buy those C5's if you sell the accord lol!

Yeah, 3 old cars and one fairly new. That's what I have been doing (driving the Accord and not using the Tacoma for the commute). Problem is condo living. There's a "rule" that cars can't be in the same spot for more than 24 hours straight. They stopped enforcing this back in March 2020 and just started to "enforce" it again. I guess it's more of a nuisance...this morning I moved the Tacoma a few spots down since it was marked (the security guards chalk your tires).

I have a growing list of friends that want the C5's if I ever sell. They'd look really good on your mini Taco!

I'd love to keep everything forever. We'll see how it all plays out though. There aren't too many other trucks I'd want to replace my Tacoma with.

Curious why you swapped the cluster for a 98-00 ínstead of the white gauges?

I was never a fan of the white gauges and when a bug got stuck in there I accidentally damaged it upon removal. So I looked into a 98-00 cluster. I also prefer the green over the amber illumination.

I found 4Runner hvac controls to match the green so only the clock is amber. Even got an ignition ring light but have not installed that.

Apparently I never posted the cluster swap here but it looks like I added almost 30 miles to the truck:

You have a build page for the 80?

I like amber in my 2nd gen - IDK maybe our eyes all prefer colors for various reasons. I thought it was cool that you went with black since I have a 98 and most people want to go with the white gauges so maybe I'll keep them - funny how one perspective changes people's opinions at times!

I don’t have a build page just yet but here’s a pic of it.
