Any made in USA Fender Strat is worth 85 bux all day long. Which makes one wonder...why did the Pawn Shop let it go so cheap?

As long as it's neck is straight, your BiL got a good deal

the cut/shape of the headstock looks sus to me...and the decals. I am a Fender bass guy <---I know way more about P and J basses, but right away, that looks like a copy....

well, as I always say, you get what you pay for in the end. Would be interesting to hear what it sounds like, how it's intonation is ,and how long it takes for the neck to twist up. You might get lucky in those departments, but iif the details just in the headstock alone are like that, I can imagine the rest of the guitar is rough too

the guy at the pawn shop had it at 85 for a reason

Damn near bought a Martin D13 Ziricote today. Have not owned a Martin and really am liking the deeper tone of them. Decided to wait and try a few others before dropping some cash down.

been out for a bit. on st patties day, I had a stroke. no more wondering why my left hand was giving me so much problems. it was a series of mini strokes. finnally, the big one came on st pattys day.friday. on sunday while in icu. I asperated. went into cardiac arrest.at which time, the guy with the largest fckng forearms in th entire icu, happened to be standing next to thedefibulators and got me back online. had a defibulator installed couple days ago. just chillin, eating shit food and looking at all these beautifull Clemson nurses.
should be home on the 12th.

Bummed to hear about that, but glad you're still with us. You're too young, stick around for a bit, you are the inspiration in this thread.

That's scary man and lucky that guy was there. Glad to hear you survived!

I know what you mean about the nurses. It was the best part of the surgeries I had to go through last year. Would just lay there in bed and wait for them to go by. Plus, you get so bored being stuck there people watching becomes one of the most interesting things to do.
