This is a repost but your post reminded me of this. I told my friend who’s an engineer that if he had a cat this would be his.

I've worked with some engineers that do and don't understand the concept that engineers can design things that cannot be built, and it's always refreshing to work with engineers that have built things with the materials they design for. That would have been a cat-astrophe for a human, but I'm sure the cat landed on his feet.
Side note: after Dad retired from the USAF, he traded the 1970 International Travelall for a heavy 1/2 ton IH pickup for use on the ranch, and we had a livestock rack on it with a tube steel crossbar over the back end. One evening, the two of us went out to a field and picked up a load of heavy (rather wet) straw bales, which made a stack nearly up to the crossbar. The truck was riding on the bump stops, so it was a slow ride home. I climbed up on top to unhook the load straps, and thought there was enough room to swing under the crossbar. Wrong! I swung and my Adam's apple hit that tubular crossbar. I never did that again!

Hi Charlie  My dad worked for IH many years. I remember the Travelall well. My dad would take me to work with him Saturday's & Sunday's. Since he worked on Paystar 5000's mostly, this guy comes in with his little Scout wanting an oil change. The owner of the dealership came up behind me, put his hands on my shoulders & said "I'm putting my best mechanic on the job". He goes "he's just a kid"! The owner said you need only pay for the oil & filter, no labor. I don't pay him, why should you. I give him blueberry pies & meatball subs as payment here for him helping out. The next weekend the guy brings me a huge blueberry pie & meatball sub. He comes back a few months later & goes "I need my oil changed, where's Rob... I've got pie"! :D

Last night we let Panther in before going to bed(they have been staying in the garage). What we didn’t see is what was in his jaws. He was staring into a corner and I was wondering what he was doing…sure as shit playing with his food.

I reached down and picked him up to take him to bed. He snatched that mouse up and as I was carrying him was gulping his meal down as fast as he could. I laughed so hard…like I was going to take it from him. In five steps it was gone.

    Proud dad moment.
