    Yeah that's all I've gotten done so far. It looks like a fish tank right now. 45 degree cuts with an angle grinder suck and getting them to line up to be a perfect 90, forget about it.

    sounds like you need a chop saw.....or just do butt joints instead....i know you want it to look good, but a simple joint will be just as strong....

    I was looking at miter saws. I didn't do the butts because I didn't want it to be open on the ends. Not just for looks but I would think it would rust from the inside out? I don't have anything but 1/8 steel from edger blades and the square tubing I bought so putting welding them shut isn't much of an option.

    ahhh. closing them up isn't that hard. i closed the ends on my front bar with pieces of tubing that i cut longways and pounded flat.(talk about time consuming) the hardest part of closing off tubing is keeping slag from getting loose inside once you seal it up. i had my whole bar done but it sounded like a rain stick. so i ended up having to drill a hole in one end, to get all the little pieces of slag out, then weld up the hole

    haha. I have slag and all the shavings from cutting it in there. I didn't bother taking it out. I can see it being a problem on your light bar though.

    it probably wouldn't be a problem. just knowing that it was in there would drive me crazy though.

    Think of it as a level of protection, if a dog hears it and lets you know then you know your truck's being stolen, or in my case the welder.

    i want to hear some reviews on how much faster it kills the battery before i buy one. then again, extra lithium ion batteries for it are only $20.
    i also got a usb wall charger today for $10 that i can use for it. it charges a lot faster now :D
