Well after getting a air compressor for the shop/garage and seeing how quickly an air tank fills up my 35's. I am now going to be adding one to the truck. Ideally id like to add a 3 gal but only place ill have room is in spare tire location. That means ill have to run the line from the front of the truck to tank in back all the way back to the front. Or i could relocate the air chuck to the back under the rear bumper somewhere and make a bracket. Hmmm

It might help the first tire, but you’ll be trying to fill a tank and a tire on the next one. Your shop air compressor likely pumps out a lot more CFM. Only thing that made it quicker for me was running two air compressors in tandem. Let the tire be the tank.

Its got 1cfm higher. Not sure how much better that is in the grand scheme of things but its night and day difference. Takes 3 min to fill tire from 17 to 35 psi with truck compressor and takes shop compressor 54 sec lol

CO2 can air up four 35″ tires from offroad pressure to 35 psi in less than 60 seconds. I have a complete setup I need to use, it can run air tools too.

Yea something like a power tank would be nice but I really don’t have room for it when I go on camping trips. I guess it’s could run it on wheeling trips and deal with a slow compressor on camping trips lol

It really don't take up much room.
I need to make a mount for it and start using it more, it is super fast airing up tires.

I use to pack like that, then I bought six tubes. If it don't fit in those tubs it doesn't go. I down sized everything, much easier. Right now except for the food those tubs are packed, ready to go.

You have room, you just have to pack more diligently and limit a bunch of excessive things. You can easily strap it to the rack until you get to base camp and unload.

WARMER TODAY: Look for a high around 80 degrees this afternoon with a partially sunny sky. Low 80s are likely tomorrow as the warming trend continues, but a significant severe weather threat is ahead for Alabama tomorrow night.

This system will will feature a very high level of kinematic energy with strong wind fields at all levels, but thankfully there is little surface based instability. Still, the dynamics will bring potential for a high impact event to the state tomorrow night.

SPC has upgraded the threat levels for Alabama with this event. We now have a “moderate risk” (level 4/5) over much of West Alabama, with an “enhanced risk” (level 3/5) for the rest of the state.

TIMING: A line of severe storms will likely push into the northwest corner of the state around 6-7 p.m. tomorrow… it will be near I-59 (Gadsden/Birmingham/Tuscaloosa) by around 11 p.m… and then it moves into the rest of East Alabama after midnight.

THREATS: There is potential for relatively widespread wind damage with the line of storms as it passes through, with winds possibly gusting to 65 mph or higher in many places. Also, a few tornadoes could spin up within the line. Some hail is possible, but that isn’t a major threat with this type of system.

GRADIENT WIND: It is important to note that gradient winds (not related to thunderstorms) tomorrow afternoon and evening could gust as high as 40/50 mph. This in itself will bring potential for some downed trees and power outages.

RAIN: Rain amounts of 1-2 inches are likely for most places, and some flooding issues are possible. We don’t expect as much rain as we experienced last week, however (some places saw up to 5 inches of rain with that event).

CALL TO ACTION: This has potential to be a high end wind event for much of Alabama; plan for power outages. Secure loose objects that might go flying away with strong winds. Pay close attention to severe thunderstorm warnings tomorrow night; if you live in a mobile home I would consider treating a severe thunderstorm warning like a tornado warning and be in a community shelter or business that is open and available as a shelter. Be sure you have two reliable ways of hearing warnings (NEVER a siren)… a NOAA Weather Radio and your phone; and be sure emergency alerts are enabled on your phone. Have the free ABC 33/40 weather app installed.

The sky will clear during the day Thursday as dry air returns to the state; the high Thursday will be around 70 degrees.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: Look for mostly sunny days and fair nights Friday through Sunday. The high Friday will be in the upper 60s and mostly in the low 70s over the weekend. There will be a chance of showers near the Gulf Coast Saturday as a disturbance moves through the northern Gulf, but most of the state will be dry.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be dry and mild, but rain and storms will return to the state Tuesday. There is evidence that strong to severe storms are possible with this system, but it is way too early to be specific. The latter half of the week looks dry for now… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 1942: A slow-moving low-pressure system brought 11.5 inches of snow to the nation’s capital on March 29, 1942. It still stands as the highest March snowfall on record in Washington, D.C. on a single calendar day. Also, Baltimore, Maryland recorded an imposing total of 21.9 inches of snow on the same day. On the flip side, eight days later, the temperature in D.C. soared to 92 degrees on April 6, 1942, and it remains the highest temperature on record for April 6.

ON THIS DATE IN 1991: A short lived F1 tornado struck Munford, where it destroyed several mobile homes, killing five people, four of them in one family

Its really not like we have that much stuff TBH but Anna me and pup takes up basically all the room in cab. I have to put my tools in back seat with our bags, dog and pillows covers for the RTT because the blankets wont fit in there to close up. The back i Have the drawer that pretty much has everything we need in it as far as food and cooking. I take one more small toat on top of that. fridge is next to that with chairs (going to get compact ones to save space. Then just pack a couple of odds and ends ad bam room is gone lol.

It is a lot of fun, they are like a real car as far as suspension, steering, timing and gearing, so many parts. Even the shocks are built like a real coil over. They use different weight oils and valving disc to control how the shocks move. They change timing and regear them to control how they launch and top end, even control how they change gears as they go down the track.

I know I had short course trucks I raced. Glad I sold all of it and got out of the hobby. But most of the tracks shut down. That drag racing seems much easier just to pop up a race somewhere.
