So so many things I have ruined in anger. Hopefully a lesson was learned.

Many, many years ago a coworker invited a couple of coworkers and me on a fishing trip to try out his new boat and motor. Every day leading up to trip he talked about the good trip we were going to have and all the fish we were going to catch. Early Saturday morning, all pumped up, off we go for our big trip. Launched boat and tied it up to jetty, all parties aboard, light rain so all hands decked out with rain gear and sat down waiting patiently. Buddy attempted to start motor, squeeze bulb, choke on, throttle in start position, pulled cord, no go! Pulled cord many times while trying multiple combinations of choke, throttle, etc, no go! This went on for about ten minutes and I noticed the back of his neck and bald head turning red. He calmly unscrewed outboard from transom and chucked it as far as he could and as he did the fuel tank chased it and brought up on transom. He grabbed tank, chucked it overboard and after watching it sink announced "We are going home"! Not a word was said on the way home and nothing ever mentioned about it after.
A couple of years after his car mysteriously burned down to the rims in his driveway!

Less frustration/anger and a warranty repair would have solved everything, now the OP is on the hunt for a spare tire mount & accessories.

My '13 Hyundai had a can of stop leak and a airpump, the tow truck operator came out to show me my spare because he had never seen a car without a spare.
