The prices from Toyota.com and that "build and price" nonsense are so far off its not even funny anymore.

You make an excellent point! Thank you. But you also validated the other reason why people will pay what a Pro costs. It is just a damn cool vehicle to have as a "daily driver". I agree it may not be the best off the showroom choice for "in the bush" and if the only reason Toyota offered it as the best equipped most cost effect alterative to performance "in the bush" driving they may have underestimated the Off Road. But of all the alternatives I have EVER driven as a daily driver, hands down, I like my TRD Sport the best. That's not say I wouldn't like an Off Road because what I like is my TACOMA so I would likely enjoy an Off Road just as much. If I could afford it I would buy a Pro in a heartbeat. I feel for those in Canada if you can't get a Pro.

Having a sunroof is not a big deal to me but the leather seats matter. I need a 4X4. Unfortunately I now have a USMC hip and a muscle disorder and so I also need an automatic. I like the Pro because everything I consider as nicety comes standard as do most of the things I need and want. They have proven to be safe but comfortable and good looking. The are reliable but also repairable. They hold their value as well as most any daily driver on the road. I also think the looks of a Pro, compared to any alternative in its class, are killer. If I could afford it I wouldn't care if they are "arguably" overpriced. I'd buy a Pro.

My dealer just called me. My 6MT PRO that had an eta June and was marked as in production just got pulled. He said because of blind spot. It won’t be made. Along with all premiums and probably no more PRO’s for 22…. Happy Saturday.

My sport premium, ordered late Dec, changed from in production to in transit on Friday. But I'm still concerned about it. Why don't they just ship them and install the chips at a later date?
I was talking to a friend today that picked up a gmc last week. The heated seats and wheel don't function, but gm said they would enable it when they get the parts.

Thanks. Yeah it sucks but I can’t really complain. It’s been a crazy month. I gave up on finding a 6MT pro a month ago and got a PRO auto. It’s at port should have it soon. But then this 6MT became available so I jumped on it. But it ain’t happening now. But the dealer did say that they have a sport 6MT that landed I can have. It will probably be the last premium they get this year.

Well, I do have a 2019 Pro sitting on my lot. 6 speed manual. They’re asking $57,895 + HST. 52k km.

(Please don’t kill me, I don’t set the prices. Don’t even technically work in sales.)

Balanced post. I realize the Pro is "overpriced" in Canada but after having had a 2017 OR, I wanted a Pro now. Just like the looks of it and how rare it is. Yes you pay $12k more in Canada but the resale on these will be much stronger percentage wise and a Pro will actually cost less than an Off Road in terms of depreciation unless you keep your truck until it dies. As expensive as these trucks are coming from a Wrangler/Gladiator, PRO prices are somewhat of a bargain up here.

Exactly. This is why Tacomas sell so well and why there is such a shortage in Canada. A base Off Road Tacoma automatic at $45k CA is down right cheap to buy in today's market.

I should sell my 22 PRO if it’s going to be this bad.

My dealer just placed an order for a black 2022 TRD Pro for me. Not sure it’ll happen after reading this thread. He said around July for delivery. He also said he has a lime coming in May.

Interesting. Almost 3 weeks ago ordered OR Auto acess cab, so far nothing from the dealership but the identical truck with manual shift is sitting on the lot as a canceled order. Makes me wonder if I should just go buy it. I really don't want to wait forever for my new truck .yes I am in Canada
