That's a horrible idea. What time?
Maryland, no. Dulles Cars & Coffee once on the way somewhere else. Until Jan 1, I worked mostly weekends and mids, so getting out with the truck was rare.

I feel that. I work shift work also and work every other weekend, so my ability to attend those events is very limited. I did see the one at Dulles one time, but most folks had already left while I was in that area

I was through that intersection 30 seconds earlier and that guy was yelling so I did a u turn. I normally keep it right at 25 though, you're right, they're always out there.

Yeah they are super cool trucks, especially for the condition it is in, I'm sure he will get some solid money for it for sure

Absolutely! I fully expect that price to go up quite a bit. It's in decent shape and has a ton of potential if the new owner wants to restore it. Or continue to wheel it. One of the comments on it was, "the worst engine." Other than the head gasket debacle, that engine is bulletproof. Some people!

And wasn't the headgasket issue on the 3.0 mostly caused by the exhaust crossover overheating the rear cylinders? That luckily has an easy fix

Ive been a few times. Its at the Krispy Kreme in Frederick at 8am, I believe the last Sunday of every month. Its hosted by Hilux Surf group on facebook. Mostly 4runners but a few Tacomas that go. And of course other Toyotas.

There are a few other cars and coffee like Katie's in Great Falls on Saturday at 5am, or the Dulles one.

I honestly don't remember. My teenage years are very fuzzy. Toyota did replace every one of them and the engineer responsible for the design killed himself. My friend's parents had a 90 4 Runner with the 3.0 (and 5 spd!) didn't even get theirs replaced until the truck had 250k miles on it.

Hey. Thinking about adding heated seats to my 2021. Does anyone have a shop they trust and a ballpark for what it would cost?

I shopped around the local area a few years ago to do this to my 2007. Can’t remember how much I was quoted at the time. Probably too much since I ended up just getting a seat heater kit on Amazon, laying the heating pads on the seat, and then installing some seat covers over the heating pads. So far so good and I didn’t have to take apart the factory seats.

The trucks at the dealership currently. They’re saying the fuel pump is good (although they haven’t confirmed) but that there is no power between the ECU and the fuel pump. They think it’s might be the wiring harness :ohsnap:They still don’t know what’s wrong and want me to authorize a total of $760 for a diagnostic fee. Is that normal for just a diagnosis? I haven’t taken a vehicle in for work that I had to pay for in a while so wanted to check with y’all.

Is that an "up to" authorization? Or are they thinking it'll be $760? It sounds awfully high to me. Typically for electrical troubleshooting is charged by the hour. There's no "book time" to track down stuff like that so they charge real time for it. JT, I'm trying to remember everything you were experiencing and can't. The truck was operable, right? Just not in a good state of health. I'm asking because if you didn't have power between the ECU and the fuel pump the truck wouldn't run at all.

    Totally spit-balling here...

@the.sight.picture had an issue with a small rock wearing through his harness. Maybe he can explain where it happened
