    I think anyone with welding skills can do this. You would have to find a truck bed and modify it. Yes I think it can be done.

    If Toyota thought they could make money making and selling these truck bed trailers, they would do so. I think it's a safe bet that they will leave this little "niche business" to your local good old boy network.

    so is there any good old bot networks taking the beds off totaled tacomas and making these yet? cause i would have no problem giving some of my money to some cool af American ingenuity like that if it was happening.

    No. Most people wouldn't buy it. It's a colossal underutilization of space for a price tag that's out of most people's comfort zone.
