Are you about level? I am looking to keep some rake as I tow a boat. Was thinking 3rd perch and a 1” block would do that. Thoughts?

I have a nice slight rake. The 3rd imo is too much rake. The 4th kept it perfect.

Post back if you do, I’m about to order a set of 5100s for same reason. Not sure if I need a block or not though. Putting a bed cap on too.

My 265/75/16 is similar to your 265/70/17 is diameter and I have my 5100s set at the top 5th setting giving me 2" up front. I had to wait a couple of weeks to install my 1" rear block. It didn't look anything like a Carolina squat, but definitely looked level once the block was installed. People think I have a crazy lift, but it's only a 2/1" lift, and thankfully rides like stock.

Sorry, no currents pics at the moment.

The 4th notch got me 1.75. I put a .5” block in the back which seems perfectly level with nothing in the bed. If I did it again I would probably do .75 or 1” block in the back I because once or twice a week I have a few hundred pounds in the back and that is enough to make it sag a little. The thought was to try and do a little of a block as possible to preserve ride quality. Overall really happy with the results.

Requested setup photo. 1.55 inch lift setting on 5100 front (4th clip). 1 inch block rear. 1/4 inch rake. 265/70/17.

Old original lift. Everything upgraded since.

Do yourself a favour and add a lean spacer on drivers side. Pictured below just in case, doesn’t have to be that exact one either.

New guy here... trying to read all the posts relating to 5100s.
Essentially looking just to level an SR5 double cab.
    Question is regarding the "lean".
Is it best to put the both struts at same level and use a spacer on the driver side
    or
can you use 2 different notches to compensate for the lean?
Not sure if this will throw off geometry of things too far.

Looking to get the 1.1" at 3rd notch....hope doesn't get too stiff but should be better than the OEM Hitachis.

    Thanks for any input.

Will definitely ride better. Very noticeable difference but I went from an SR5 to an off-road.

I just left the lean. Doesn’t really bother me. Not exactly sure about this but I think it’s a quarter inch so a .45 inch difference would put you in the same position but reversed.

You definitely do not want to use 2 different notches....

I don't/didnt have the lean in the 1st place, so no spacer for me, but I set my 5100s @ 2" Max., and added 1" block in the rear. That levelled the truck all around. Rides like stock.

Your 3rd notch will level your truck perfectly without having to lift the rear. And yes, you will love the 5100 Bilsteins. They are bigger than the stock OR Bilsteins, and even bigger AND BETTER than the Hitachis.

1/4 shim is what I used and both on the 4th setting with a 1 inch block, slight rake.

Being on the 4th notch, did you have to do a diff drop or ecgs bushing replace?

I did the front diff and rear carrier drop with the ecgs clamshell bushing. Got everything back in spec. Vibration free.
