Harbor Freight is coming out with some new 6 ton jackstands; picture shows them with a removable lock pin.

I need some 6 ton jackstands for the LC so those could be contenders.

Ya they're like a no-brainer when you understand how they work. Really I'm here scratching my head as to how it's "new" technology; it makes so much sense to use the same waste energy from a refrigeration loop to heat something. Effectively you're sucking heat out of the air & using classical heating at once. Efficiency ratio >1 is unbelievable at first.

These do still have a heating element for high demand situations though. The only downside is it sounds somewhere between a refrigerator and an A/C unit. (my A/C is also a heat pump FWIW). Greatest side effect is it cools the garage.

makes sense after the massive recall on the old ones, they would redesign with better safety features to try and win back faith. I would replace mine with those new ones even though mine weren't part of the recall

Those tools are all buy once cry once. Its still cheaper to buy them all and do crimp rings vs sharkbites. Though if you want a manifold setup I think the expandable Pex-A is better. That stuff is also way more flexible than Pex-B with the crimp rings.

SRP's rebates suck compared to a lot of other utilities. I did get their free Nest thermostat but for their other rebates you have to have a licensed contractor do it, which negates the whole savings.

Hybrid tanked are actually more efficient, which is what set me over instead of one. That plus I would have needed to run two new circuits to it. (2x 40A instead of 1x 30A existing).
The only thing really worth it IMO would be tankless at each tap. ie: bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Hot sink water in a bathroom is like unobtainable in the time you need it and that fixes the problem.

"Welcome to SRP, I'm Rosie. I can understand full sentences."

Have that burned into my brain, their rates and rebates are trash.
