My salesman called me to offer me a new truck that he said would be arriving at the "end of the month", he sent me over the build sheet and I punched the VIN into VSpec - it showed no ETA. A few days later it updated to exactly when he had told me. I'd say wait it out.

Given my ETA and my luck, I'm fully expecting a call from my dealer tomorrow to pick the truck up. Too bad I'll be at work on a 24 hour shift.

Haha, exactly. First world problems here, but mine is looking like it's gonna be delivered next week while we will be on vacation. Trying to convince the wife that we should postpone our vacation, but the negotiations are not going well at the moment.

Yeah I'd imagine the inventory manager or similar gets forwarded a shipping manifest with the VINs and exact dates prior to the trucks hitting the lot. I know I'd hate to be the dealer and just have a truck show up loaded to the gills with vehicles without prior knowledge.

Anybody in the northeast have any experiences they can share relative to train shipping time? From getting on train to getting off in New Jersey?
