The ride gets a little harsh after first getting used to it. Especially the F Sport. You start to feel every little joint in the road. On the gf's CT, we put on tires with about another inch of sidewall. It takes the sharpness out a little. Otherwise it's slow but it gets great gas mileage. If you're running 75-80 then it drops to about 33mpg (calculated, not the computer). The 1.8 is really getting worked at those speeds. It's meant for around town driving. Having said that, since the gf got a job 2 miles from home, I've been driving the CT to work instead of the GX. Because 33 is better than 14.5.

yeah it’s not super plush but also not the worst riding car I’ve owned.

some sound deadening is in order though. Surprisingly there is a lot of wind noise

Does it really only gets 33mpg going 80mph? That’s about what the Matrix gets going those speeds. Is the battery doing nothing at those speeds?

People buy it (like the gf) thinking, "it's a Lexus. It's plush and quiet". Nope it was built to a price point. It's basically just a Prius with a body kit. That car could have been so much more with the 2.5L hybrid system. But then it would compete with the ES300h and it was cheaper just to use the existing Prius platform.
It certainly rides better than the Miata. Lol

Not sure. The engine is really working at those speeds though. The computer says 35mpg on my commute, the calculator says 33.

@SearArtist do you have halogen lights? If so, the Phillips H9 is a great improvement for little money.

@Bannerman I was thinking about asking you to bring over your big chainsaw to cut down a tree but I decided to buy one.

Careful, I'd suggest not watching many chainsaw videos on youtube, or else you're going to be running a ported and modified saw in no time just to limb up a couple trees.

This one is mainly going to live on a Alaskan sawmill and everybody recommends to keep it stock for that purpose. I wouldn’t mind getting a size in between the 2 to modify. After getting the 395xp I wish I would have gotten a bigger saw a lot sooner!

I think this conversation belongs in the "what have you done to your 3rd gen chainsaw today" forum.

Has anyone been to Hurricane creek in the not too distant past? How was it? Have a free weekend next weekend so thought about heading out that way. Either doing that or just hitting old NC 105 for some scenery.
