Just got her back and 4th notch has her almost dead even with a .25 inch bro lean. I do have vibrations tho…. So she has to go back. I didn’t do diff or bushing. Also think I am going to switch down to 3rd notch so have some rake

Did you add a 1 inch rear block? Lots of people have done this and get a slight rake never the bro lean as something may not be right. Did you reuse your stock coils? Maybe they installed them incorrectly as some have done in the past, good luck with the vibs, should be an easy fix.

Bro lean=ass dragging? Sorry not up on the terms. Also what is “taco lean”?

Yes, taco lean is the driver side sits a little lower than the pass side. A 1/4 shim fixes it for most.

I think the shocks are right because the truck is almost dead on even. I have read that notch 4 is typically even. I am between even and a .25” ass drag. I did also put in the .25” spacer for taco lean. I think 3rd notch is what I am looking for. Truck still looks great but I know the second I hook up to tow, i will be the biggest bro in the land haha

Did you add the 1 inch block? Maybe go up to 1.5 inch tapered block. Something is off as everyone I have seen is on the 4th setting and a 1 inch block has a slight rake, never even or reversed. Its a lot easier to add a 1.5 inch block than change the clips.

Your the 1st. I have read about being higher in the rear with this set up. What I have read in this thread everyone is on board with a slight rake. Some people have installed the fronts wrong on the coil springs and get more lift that its designed to. I would bet its in wrong if your higher in the front which may be your cause for the vibrations.

Did you use their needle bearing puller? just did mine today and the puller did not fit, but found slide hammer that just barely did and got it done.

I did not replace the needle bearing but I do have vibration so will be back at the shop this week to get it done. Do I need a diff drop as well? And yes, I did put a 1” block in the rear. I do have maybe 75-100lbs in the rear but I wouldn’t think that would impact much.

IDK was wondering my needle bearing was gone at 42k and got the bushing in before anything else as of right now, but the ecgs tool did not fit, I had heard that the older tool had problems maybe they sent me the wrong one idk. Luckily we found a slide hammer that just barely fit and got it out.

I did not do an ECGS until about a year ago when I knew an upgrade was coming down the line. Ran fine for ~4 years without vibrations.

I also pulled the rear block out and replaced with old man emus leaf springs a year or so later and put 3 degree shim in with that leaf pack. No carrier bearing drop. [Medium duty]

Checked to make sure all 5100 were installed right side up and that the blocks were in. I do have some weight in the bed right now as well. Fair to say on my truck that the 4th notch with 1” block is dead level. Shop quoted me another $700 to change from the 4th perch and install the bushing….not happy about that. Do I need to do a diff drop as well? I don’t want to have to go back again once this second job is done lol

Try a 1.5 inch block tappered and add a front diff drop and a rear carrier drop. Add one thing at a time and re test for vibrations. First I would do a 1.5 tappered block to give the slight rake, look at removing the weight from the truck and see if its level. Second thing is ifs good after removing the weight and looks good to your eye then try a diff drop. It kind of depends where its vibrating from as sometimes doing a rear carrier drop may fix issues with the vibrations if its coming from the front. So where does the vibs feel like its coming from? Test it in 4wd high and see if the vibration goes away and then it just may be the needle bearing. If you were to go back down in the front on the 3rd perch, it may be cheaper to just raise the back some more instead.

I ordered the ecgs bushing to have that installed this week. I couldn’t believe that it was going to cost Me another $650 to install the bushing and change shocks from 4th to 3rd perch. So out of sheer anger I have not scheduled the shocks yet haha. Trying to find a buddy who can take me through it on a DIY

Did you buy the install tool and confirm the vibration is the needle bearing? Would be easier to raise the back with a 1.5 inch taperd block as it may fix the vibration and will be a lot cheaper and maybe take outnthe added weight and measure again. My Son's Tacoma is on the top setting and a 1 inch block and is perfectly level so makes me still think something is still off up front and that may be your vibration issue. The front may need to settle if your truck is brand new. Have a different shop look at it and also post some pics of the front shocks and colis. There is some good info on here as it has happened to others on install and they were higher than expected as the coils were not set in correctly.
