Well I pulled the trigger today....

I ordered a Tom Woods one piece driveshaft and new today. My Center Support bearing is going out so I have to do something. I have a U-bolt flip kit waiting to be installed & 3* axel shims. I don't want to deal with a dealer about the TSB on the rear springs and I have no warranty now. So I an getting the All-Pro Standard Duty leaf springs and 5100 Billies for the rear. Wanted the Expedtion pack but they are on back-order till spring. I have a 3" spacer in the front which I am going to change to (thinking about King) coilover in the sping. Wish me luck. Hope I made the right choice.

Photos will come with install. ;)

THanks. Been on here for a few years (time flys) now. Love this site. Picked up a few pointers here-and-there.

I really wanted to Expedition leaf pack but oh well... I think what I ordered will work for me. Can't wait !

Wouldn't 5125's have been a better choice for the rear shocks? 5100's have no more travel than stock.

I ordered the longer shock. If that is the 5125 then thats what I got. I understand that the 5100's have two different lengths. I could be worng.

    First Update.

Tom Woods one piece driveshaft arrived today. All Pro 3" leaf pack came yesterday. Still waiting on the correct shocks. Wrong shocks were shipped but the error was discovered too late and they had already shipped and I had to refuse them and return to sender. So... I still need the Billy's and the spring bushings and sleeves.

Well I am STILL waiting on the shocks and the spring bushings from Allpro. I have no idea when they will ship.

The drive shaft from Tom Woods and it has been installed (photos later). No vibrations from the drive line now. The fit was perfect. Install was easy and only took about 30 min.

****** Measurements for your truck may not be the same. *********

Here are the number I sent Tom Woods:

Finished running length from face of flange to face of flange=67.5"

    A=1.812" B=3.69" C1=2.6" D=1.0625 E=3.2188"

D & E are the U-Joint whice I did not measure. This was calculated by them for the 1310 series U-joint

    The story continues..

Well my order did not go well.

On 02-08-2011 I orderd a Tom Woods Drive Shaft and the Springs Shocks and Flip Kit from Allpro.

Drive Shaft order took 1 week. Had it and installed it 02-23-2011 Done.

Now the Allpro order: Springs received on 02-14-2011

First problem was that the wrong shocks were sent. Allpro cought the error but the items were allready out the door. They told me to refuse the shocks and once they received the returned shock they sould send to correct ones. Turnaround time 2 weeks.

Next problem... No bushings or sleeves for the springs. Out of stock ! Two weeks.

Ok now I have the springs and the bushings 3-7-2011.

Can't do the install without the shocks. Allpro making things right ordered from another company and had the shocks Drop Shipped to me.
    Shocks received 3-10-2011

Now I wait for a break in the weather in Ohio to do the install. Weather breaks and start the install 4-10-2011.

Well we get the old springs off and start installing the new ones and run into a problem. The centering pin is 5-6" forward of the axel perch. Ok maybe they are backwards. Flip them. NOW the centering pin is to the rear too far. Far enough that the Drive Shaft splines are fully extended and the DS is going to come apart. Not good. We startd the install about 3:30 pm. Now it is 10:30 and we have tried everything. Give up for the night. Once home I consult Tacoma World ( I love this site) Found an install thred from MonkeyProof (thanks MP) who replied right away to my post. Then a two others replied, Soundman1463 and S.B., Notice the part number on the photo that I posted. The number on the springs I have are 4500-T-AP-3. What I SHOULD have is a 4505-AP-3. SHIT, I have the wrong springs. Called Allpro this morning and went over things with Jon. Yep wrong stuff. Jon is sending me the replacement springs 2nd day shipment and return labels for the incorrect springs. Plus a store credit. Big thanks to Jon for making things right.

Now I wait . I will post photos once this is wrapped up. Here are a few of the problem.

Wow! That's gotta be frustrating. Good to hear AP. Doing their best to make it right. Sounds like they might have switched orders around.
