This is a 2007 Tacoma. I'm trying to remove the bed of the truck so I can access the top of the fuel tank for a filler neck repair. The trouble is, I can't seem to get this grommet out of the way.

I cannot push the neck in without removing this grommet, but I can't seem to get the metal pop-clips out.

I've looked around on this forum and YouTube, but haven't found anything specifically like this grommet.

    Help?

No need to remove. Leave gas cap off and remove bed, it will come out from there

So remove the bolt underneath, giving the next some flex, and then lift. What precautions, if any, will I need when placing the bed back on (other than, don't pinch it)?

yes, from what I remember, I did one about 4 years ago. There wasn’t much to it. Just make sure all electrical lines by the tail lights are disconnected.

Much appreciated. Thank you. I had seen the pics from the thread you mention, but was confused on the grommet, and path forward. Everyone said to just push, and I guess mine was stuck somewhat. I'll push harder tomorrow night.
