    Used a small fortune to pick up enough Evapo-rust to soak this guy, left it overnight so far. It’s looking good in the areas I can see, I’ll probably leave it for the rest of the day at least.

    It's rusted in place so I need to leave it long enough for the soak to work as far in as it can.

    Between the paint and rust I haven't been able to read anything on it yet, I imagine it's just a cheap import though.
    It was free and it's much heavier than the little 4" one I've been using.

    I have a bunch of old tools to clean up too so the evapo-rust will sort them out as well.

    I have been, I guess I like that this stuff is really hands off. Just drop it in and forget if for a day or two.
    Electrolysis probably would have been cheaper, even with buying a battery charger.

    Next time try using electrolysis; we've used it down at the tractor club to derustify some pretty big, and pretty messed up lumps of iron. Works very well, and costs peanuts, but it can take a while.. (as in weeks +).
