Im more amazed at how long people try to get out of wipers... my wife didnt change hers for 7 years... it wasnt until they had no blade left and was just metal on glass that she replaced them.

I can see wiper maintenance being neglected in arid areas... You may rarely use them, so you kind of forget about them. It wouldn't surprise me if they dry out / rot quicker in the arid areas... If you live in the wet, I am sure owners change them out frequently.

I read they should be changed once every 6 months, but I usually change them yearly-ish, and sooner, if needed. I like seeing where I am going in inclement weather.

lol, my wife is both lazy when it comes to car maintenance (boooo) and frugal (yay!). I've spent the last four years trying to break some of those habits with some success but not nearly as much as I hoped.

I tend to get a couple years out of mine, but I also don't use them nearly as much as others on the road. I keep my vehicles washed (makes a big difference by itself) and often use rain-x and I don't feel the need to set my wipers to "Turbo-Prop" when I drive into light mist like many other people I've seen. I just look at those people like "What the hell are you going to do when it actually starts raining?"

Damn dude you spent some bucks on this install. I'm sure well worth the money. I'm looking at the same setup but with Morel components.

Swapped out the TRD Sport tail lights and installed TRD Pro tail lights. Installed black exhaust tip as well. Small appearance changes, it’s like adding extra salsa to your tacos.

Almost the same setup I have in my tC (Focals + Stealthbox w/ different amps). Sound's fantastic. Looking forward to doing the same setup on the taco once I stop buying exterior crap lol.

I wipe mine when I wash the truck and I also use a door key to clean them (the jagged side of the key shank, I just scrape the blade from end to end using the “v” section of the key like a knife sharpener). You’d be amazed at how much gunk it removes. Helps extend the life of the blade.

Yep, cleaning under the blades is something more people need to do. They actually sell wiper blade "sharpeners" that trim off the warn edge of the blade giving you a nice clean wiping edge again.

Also properly warming up the vehicle and using an ice scraper instead of wipers and washer fluid to clean off frost in the morning does wonders for longevity.

Amazon order, first oil change soon. Oddly no retailer around me had ultra platinum. This will be my 6 month oil change. I barely have over 1k miles on the truck after owning it for 6th months but want to change the oil anyway. 2 times a year seems fair to me for peace of mind. Oil and filter are cheap.

Good to know, but I’ll just stick to my keys and save my money for 5Guys. :hungry: :D But seriously, you’re spot on, more people need to wipe their wipers. (Pun intended)

Good point. Thank goodness frost is rare around my neck of the woods.
