I'm in the bay area so no way in hell I'd be able to get a CCW but I'd be down to come up and go through the course and learn. If thats cool, I'm in!

A TW group would be sweet, but so far its looking like only you are interested lol

Usually they tell you to get approved before you do your training, in the event you are denied or something. Im scanning all my documents monday at work so i can email them with my application. Your county will be different of course, but id get that ball rolling first. 0

You can always take the training first, then its valid for 6 months should you decide to not apply until after your training. But if the application process takes 3-4 months well, you could be cutting it close.

Its a 16hour course so, thats alot of chillin lol Ill run it by the instructor but im sure observers are welcome.

if we get more interest ill start up a group PM and see what everyone is thinking. If theres going to be 5-6 of us then we'll just do a private/group session.

    hell yeah.

3 of us total so far (3.5 including rob), i was going to poke around and keep a tally of who is interested and then get back with my uncle to see what he would want to do to keep it cost effective for everyone. (maybe he has a class lined up and he can just rent a couple extra bays and sneak us into an existing/full class or something, i dunno)

I guess I need to start on the application process as well. I had a CCW when I lived in Washington, and it was so easy to get. Went to my local PD, filled out a 1 page application, they took my fingerprints, I paid them $45 and 2 weeks later it showed up in the mail.

Can anyone recommend me a shop in Sac to do an exhaust reroute? My RCI skids should be coming in soon and I want to get that exhaust out of the way.

Check out marco muffler in Orangevale or their Fulton location. Ask for Travis. He jumps back and forth between both locations. He's done a bunch. Including the one on my old taco. He will most likely want you to bring your skid with you though.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I don't mind waiting until the skid comes in.

Muffler Tech is also another good choice in South Sac.

I have a similar issue with my ‘07 Trd sport. I know for one I need a rear wheel bearing replaced and just got it in. Still the people at Toyota just put a special additive in the rear diff and said it would buy time. did you solve your issue with your truck?

Hey guys. Just asking for opinions.

I detail, restore paint on the outside. Meaning wash, clay, compound, polish, and seal paint. I usally charge $250 per car. Is this something people might be interested in? I used to do it for just friends and family but thinking of maybe starting something out.
turn around is usually a day and a half.

some of the cars I did. The trucks and 4Runner had heavy pin stripping.

Citrus Heights. In the processes of moving now. So once we move, I’m thinking of maybe helping some people out.

I only do the outside though. Never got to do the inside. Not yet.

I’m interested in getting mine aswell seems like it could take up to a year to have the permit approved, how long is the training valid for?

    6 months iirc

I believe that’s why they ask that you wait until your approved before you start your training.

That and I’m sure plenty of people take “courses” from an Unregistered or uncertified instructor not realizing that it doesn’t meet the requirements and then get mad about it when the agency says “no, go try again” lol
