    Yes, 3rd gen.
    And yes, I did.
Took it off for the winter.
Decided that a hard top was better suited for intended uses.

Okay, I'll make sure I have all the hardware. Probably be able to drop it off during my travels.

Sounds exactly like my process. I thought for sure I'd like the Softopper, and I really did. They definitely look very cool. Ultimately though, I knew I wouldn't use it to it's full potential.

    I bought one.

Sold it because I didn't want to sleep in the bed area.

Bought another one for MTB storage.

Sold it because I never used it.

I owned one, it was the mtb adventure van. I had the rear seats folded down and the middle row removed. I added some padding (anti-fatigue mats) to the floor in the back and would load up with bikes and camping gear. It was as versatile, though less offroad capable, as a pickup with a camper shell, and got better fuel economy.

Long before it was a minivan, the Honda Odyssey was a little offroad vehicle.

The rack on top of the tubular bars part of the rack?

The tubular side hoops are part of the rack. It's essentially a cab height bed rack that just happens to fit around a Softopper. Works equally well with or without a Softopper. And it's modular and bolt together so it's easy to put on and take off.

Now, had you bought a Sienna...........

I've been told you could have gotten 4wd. And with the seats out (which came out individually) 4x8 sheets of plywood fit.

Of course back then, given the choice, I would have chosen the better looking Oddessy.

I can't believe it took Toyota this long to add some freaking style to it.

I would recommend trying TW Express. It does pack flat so it would be easy to put in the bed of a truck. It’s also shippable, but it won’t be cheap cause it’s heavy and still relatively large.

I bet shipping would be over $75.

Fastenal has a shipping service, from one of their locations to another that is relatively inexpensive. Bus lines (think Trailways) also allow shipping packages.
