So I’m taking the tent and rack off my truck. It just isn’t used enough for me to justify now that I’m in flight school. How shit will the ride be if I don’t immediately swap the heavy dakars for something lighter? I’ve ran this set up for about 6 months so they have settled a little by now.

If you dont like it just remove a leaf or swap the leafpack. Offtopic, but this is why I tell people buy a shell, a tent on top of your bed is useless and only useful for sleeping in a tent on top of your bed.

To get back on topic l don't think removing that tent and rack is going to be quite enough weight difference to change the ride of the OME heavies.

That’s what I’m thinking now. I frequently load heavy stuff into the bed anyways so I’ll just keep the packs as they are currently.

They may have worn in just enough to be fine.
