I use the porta band saw a lot but with the dom it doesnt work good. I bought an evolution blade that was like $80 and my shitty chop saw chewed it up in like 10 cuts cause it had a little wobble I didn't notice. I almost cried. Then I had to band saw 2 45's in 2" 1/4 wall dom. Took about 2 hours to make fit decent. Gonna try a proper small saw.

Oh yes, it's the cut quality of a col cut saw with the speed of abraisives. Chip tray is a gimmick tho, makes a fucking mess like any other chop saw.

Yeah, metal is too expensive to be fucking up cuts. I had no clue how much DOM was. Cost me $117 for this and its the same shit I need for my lower links. ouch!

Cool! Im excited. I've lost a lot of time over the past month using the saw I have. I got the $299 cheap one. Didn't think the 15" blade capability was worth an extra $100. The amperage is basically the same too.

Dom 2" 1/4 wall at the shop that has really good prices is 2.90 an inch. 2.40 if you buy a 20' length. Paid 70 for a 2 ft piece. wtf!

Yeah, that's cheap. Even If I buy a full length its still 10 cents more an inch. I wonder how much they charge per cut. The place I go to said they would work a deal w me on a full order so gotta get that shit to the inch with pvc. There will be NO scrap dom laying around!!

I get a bit lazy and round up to where each piece is about the same size. It helps me stay flexible and I still don’t end up with a lot of scrap.

it would be different if I planned better
