    They're still called that Down Under.

    I was working in Adelaide, and the powers that be put out a new dress code, which included, "No thongs." This was around the time when Krocs were all the rage, IIRC.

    Of course, us Yanks / ex-Pats got a kick out of that one. The inside joke was always, "Who's doing today's thong inspection?"

    We were called animals by my boss....

    I have a Trex deck. Bought a cheap pair and almost wracked my ankle one time. From now on I only buy ones that have something other than rubber in contact with my feet, since there's water present.
