Here's the finished product...there is still some epoxy that needs to be cleaned.. and its not perfect but looks pretty good and I am happy with the results.... ..especially since this was my first attempt at it.

What type of material are you going with for the handle?

    Awesome day today.

First I whipped up this schematic of a straight edged friction folder during my lunch break. I want to make several of these as a gift to my coworkers that worked with me on a multi year $100mil+ project. This simple bevel design with help me work of grinding in bevels.

Second. I came home to my new 2x72 grinder sitting at my front door.

Third. I got my heat treat oven ordered.

I hope to be making knifes I can sell within a few months.

I'm thinking some type of wood. The original was leather I think, but this knife sat in a building for years exposed to all sorts of weather so the handle was rotting off. I found 2 others with it, but I can't seem to find them now.

Sharpness is subjective. Different sharpness for different blades. The finer and sharper the edge, the less it will last. I put a medium sharp edge on my EDC knives that don't require extreme sharpness for precise cuts. The edge will last me a month or 2 then it doesn't cut as much. On my skinning and filleting knives I go with a super sharp super fine edge. This is fine because I'll usually only skin one animal per hunting trip and I can sharpen by the next time I go hunt. Different sharpnesses for different uses.

D94358C2-EBD5-45CB-99F5-2F1DF6418B44.jpg bought a 555 a few weeks ago from my local benchmade dealer. Was between the mini grip and bugout/ mini bugout but the full liner on the mini grip won for me. Then ordered a set of smkw titanium scales for it during the st pattys sale. Very impressed. Not bad for 130 bucks total!

Kershaw worked with Rick Hinderer on this Ferrite. It’s a $50 assisted opener. Great EDC.

I need to replace several of my fixed blade knife sheaths so they can work with Tec-Locs. Where do you guys go too for sheaths?
    Thanks in advance.
