Me too. Consistently 20-23 mpg on the highway in cruise at the speed limit (70mph) depending on winds. I did install the poor man's cold air intake - OEM air intake accelerator and TRD performance air filter without the pretty red box and tubes - and while the butt dyno noticed a bit of difference, it made zero difference in MPG.

It tends to be when people put CAI's and exhaust on their vehicles, they drive it harder because they want to hear the sound of the exhaust or the engine sucking air. So NO, your mileage will not improve simply due to having a heavier foot with these mods.

    Oh look, another mod....
This is a bit off topic, but still relates:

When I first bought my truck a year ago, it would show 385/375 Miles to empty right after I filled up. Over the year, that has decreased. My last fill up it read 325 Miles to empty.

Due to a severe storm that blew across the DFW Metroplex, my TPMS went off because my back right tire was low. It was odd, it said I only had 16psi, all other tires were 35psi. Well my first thought was "No way that's right!", so I disconnected the battery to reset the warning light.

It didn't work (I immediately aired it up for 5 minutes straight and it read the proper psi again), but the "Miles to Empty" jumped up to 355, the tank isn't even full, it's halfway between 3/4's of a tank and full. I'm curious to see what it reads when I top off the tank. Will it go back up to 385? Stay tuned!

1.5 mpg is an extra gallon of gas on a full tank. Filling up once a week @$4/gal is $200/year. 4 years is a free set of nice tires..

Warm weather causes the molecules in the fuel to expand, you get more bang for your Buck in high heat.

Mines similar in the winter then it goes back up in the summer. I don't even pay attention to it anymore. Doing the actual math is what counts.

Idk how some of you guys are getting 20plus mpg. I was averaging 13-15mpg w all terrain 265s tires.

Fill your tank early in the morning, or late at night when its cooler...never let the tank get below 1/4 full....when it does its harder on the fuel pump, plus you suck up all the crap sitting on the bottom of the tank. Its not good for the rest of the fuel system on the engine.

Why does it say 30 mpg on the lower reading. Mine reads the same as well. It baffles me?

That's just the scale for the bar graph. 0 to 30 mpg. The bar is what your mpg is a this particular moment, the top number is you average mpg per tank.

I see, but it doesn’t really mean anything. The bar graph already gives you a picture of your fuel efficiency for the moment. I am being careful to drive not to exceed the mid point of the bar and strive to stay at 1/4 length of the bar.
I hate to see things that are irrelevant, just me.

It's not irrelevant at all. If the 30 wasn't there you wouldn't know what the scale is. ie, if the bar was 1/2, you wouldn't know that was 15.

In a way, the bar fluctuates with the way you use your rpms, is another way to look at it. Figure out which rpm works the bar the least, and you can learn how to maximize your fuel efficiency.
