Hey y’all I’m sure it’s been posted somewhere before but as I continue to try to blackout my 2016 Tacoma (rebuilt title) one thing continues to bother me. Not everytime (but enough to drive me nuts) I hear a rattling or vibration from the front of my truck right around where the A/C controls and the plug ones for USB are. Also sometimes in the far right corner of the dash where it connects to the windshield. At first I thought it was the tires/shocks. But replaces those with upgrade anyway and it still does it. Just wanted to see if anyone else deals with this (and fixed it!)or if it just comes with the territory of buying a truck that’s been in an accident previously.
figured I’d include a photo for fun as she’s still a work in progress!

I think most people have caught it at the front right speaker (dash) cover. Some people have popped it off and put stuff in it to stop.

^ this and I've also read where people take the cover off the passenger A pillar and there's some double sided tape in there that comes loose

Thanks for the quick responses! This is me being dumb here but would this help with the rattling near the windshield or the lower rattling near the cup holders/chargers? Or both??
    Thanks again Tacoma Fam!

It might help with the rattle near the windshield but not the center console. Rattles behind the dash could be loose wires/connectors that aren't used in your trim. It might be worthwhile to take it apart and ziptie any loose wires back there

My 2019 rattled too. Right A pillar -fix with foam or felt stuff in-between the dash and the pillar. My plastic dash surround "rattles" though its more like a pop or crack noise when hitting bumps. I used foam and some tape behind it. Clears it up 99% of the time. Cold weather makes more rattles and crack noises for my rig. Good luck.

Have a passenger ride with you, when you hear the rattle, have that person start putting pressure on areas until you find the noise stops. There's you rattle. Also empty your glove box at this time to see if that was it. If this process doesn't find the noise it might be as the previous post said. The inside of the dash, Wire or cables and such.
    Happy Hunting!
