My truck has finally been delivered so I figured this is a good time to start a build thread and start documenting everything.

11/26/21 - dealer got the allocation
    1/1/22 - $1500 deposit on allocation
    1/27 - truck was built
03/08 - second son was born and vspec showed eta of 3/28-4/2
03/21 - vspec eta disappeared, dealer told me the truck is being held for some reason and could be 30, 60, 90 or 120 day delay.
03/29 - dealer called me and said it will be delivered 4/6
03/30 - dealer called me and said it was delivered early and I can pick it up 03/31

    MSRP $42,100
Out the door (Tax, Title, Tags) $45,635.76
Only options other than the Trail Edition package were tech package, predator steps and mudguards

These are the pictures my dealer sent me today

3/31/22 - First pic of her at home in my driveway. Pictures do not do it justice!

4/1/22 - I Installed the morimoto xb Amber drl's and while I had the bumper off I figured I should install the Rigid fog lights/bezel kit even though they will not be functional until I install the auxbeam switch panel. The connectors on the end of the fog lights have been zip tied behind the bumper so the don't get broken and I sealed the ends.

4/2/22 - MESO Ultimate dome light and v2 white/red map lights. I also added LED bed lights. I was in a rush though so I didn't take pictures, will add them tomorrow if I have time

4/3/22 - Morimoto license plate light pods, tacoma beast smoked sequential mirror turn signals, magnetic American flags oriented properly

4/5/22 - Rough Country full bed molle racks, Victory 4x4 bed rack, recovery boards mounted, prinsu roof rack, oem bed mat added and trail decals above tacoma badges on doors
(Also my birthday which is the only reason I had enough time to do everything. I also go back to work tomorrow after 5 weeks of paternity leave)

4/7/22 - 15% tint added to rear windows and 5% tint added to front windows and windshield

4/9/22 - MESO x Morimoto Taillights and Condition1 Rifle Cases mounted on the Prinsu

OEM Black Exhaust Tip installed, also I decided to throw in the custom switch panel and auxbeam switch. Still have to install the auxbeam fuse block and connect my lights to it, but I wanted to see how it looks and feels in that position. The extra switch space will hopefully be for the MESO Puddle Pod switch, assuming I'm able to buy one on the next drop

    4/13/22 - VLED's in the sun visors

4/15/22 - Rough Country roll up tonneau cover

4/17/22 - Added Raptor Lights to grill

4/18/22 - StartX Remote Start installed. Pretty simple install, nothing worth taking a picture of

4/20/22 - S&B Intake and door sill guards installed

4/26/22 - Installed Auxbeam auxiliary fuse box and connected the fog lights and raptor lights to it. I made my own harness for the fog lights wiring using 14 gauge wire, mesh wire loom and water resistant connectors

5/20/22 - Installed 41" Nilight light bar and wired it up to the auxbeam

5/29/22 - Installed Ditch lights and wired it up to the auxbeam

I will be updating the Mods Purchased and Mods Installed list as well as adding pictures as I go. My goal is to document everything as well as I can to keep a solid record of everything from day 1. I plan on keeping this truck forever, but in the event that I don't, the next owner will be happy to know the complete history. I have no problem being fully transparent so if anyone has questions about anything, feel free to ask!

Also, I want to note that this thread is for my own records, not to show off or hear about my stupid mall crawler build, so let's try to keep it positive lol

Congratulations, looks like you have a some fun work ahead. I had a bunch of stuff waiting when my OR came in but nit quite that much. My big ones that I had waiting were my Diamondback SE bed cover and SEMA TRD wheels.

$45K out the door is a super deal in today's market. There was an Army Green Trail Edition in my area. MSRP was $41,500. $6000 markup then add Tax/license/fees = $51K. Congrats on the new truck. Looking forward to seeing the mods on the truck.

Thank you! Yeah I am excited to get started. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a newborn now, so I don't think I'll be ripping through all these mods as fast as I'd like, but if there's a been benefit to waiting months for my truck, it was that it gave me time to buy mods, wait for shipping, make more money, and then buy more mods to have on deck so whenever I have any free time I can jump right into something. But the diamondback abs Sema wheels are 2 sweet mods to have ready to go! I'm glad my truck came with wheels that I'm happy with lol

Yeah the markups right now are insane. I didn't realize how lucky I was finding this deal until a month after putting a deposit down I got impatient and started looking elsewhere. Funny thing is, yesterday I was going to bite the bullet and buy an army green one that's in Manhattan toyota showroom. They had a 7k markup but I got them down to 2k. I called my dealer to get my deposit back and he was like dude just wait it out I promise you it'll be here April 6th. I decided a weeks wait is worth 2k if he isn't blowing smoke up my ass. Then boom he calls me today and it's here lol

Really the only reason I can give you is that I'm a super impatient person and having mods show up at my house filled the void that not having my truck gave me lol. Availability of mods is one of the reasons I was drawn to the Tacoma and modifying things has always been something I love, with everything, not just vehicles. Also, since I've leased my last few vehicles and didn't love them enough to modify them or buy them out and keep them, I've had the itch to own and make something mine. This is the first time I was able to buy the exact truck I wanted and not have to settle

love the color choice! Are you mounting the FDE cases to the prinsu rack? I think it would contrast nicely against the lunar rock

Thank you! Yeah I thought so too which is why I went for the fde over black cases. Figured if I didn't like the look of fde I could always spray them black. I already have the foam cut in one of them to fit all my milwaukee/gearwrench stuff that I kept in my last truck full time for if I'm out on a job. Just have to decide if I want more tools in the second one, or if I keep it empty for generic storage. I'll add a pic now of the one case set up

this is awesome, I have all these tools too and they are just scattered all over in the box. Did you make the form-fitting foam yourself or it's a mass produced product?

Thank you, I've always wanted to do this for my mobile tool kit since they've always been a mess in my back seat. I just set everything where I wanted and outlined them with a marker then cut out with a long utility knife (the long skinny one with long breakaway blade in it). The case came with 3 layers of foam so I would do a layer at a time and check fitment each time. I still have to glue all the layers together though to make it perfect
