Your bypass tubes are adjustable, right?

If so, open them all the way up and see how it rides. Too soft: turn up the bypass. Too hard: re-valve the COs to a lighter stack.

Yes. But im not going to install them until I have pull valving for the coilovers or get something to put in there.

truck is still my dd, but im not going to ship the coilovers out, and have it be down a month. Also im not taking the springs off myself. Taking it to a friend that is going to help out.

after chatting with a few people (hey @snowsk8air2 youre on here! @great_white_taco ), Ive come to the conclusion that I think Im going to start off with 10/10 valving in the coilover and go from there. If it doesnt work out, step up to 15/10. I will also be opening the bypass to make a note of what is there already.

I do have an inquiry email out to King and TC about a recommendation, but I trust you guys more.

    Does this sound good @desertjunkie760 @Airdog @Supra4x4

If you have the box for the bypass you should be able to use the label info to see what's inside. Unless they are used and have been opened up before. Who did you purchase them through?

I purchased them used from Vilmont Market on IG, with about 2k miles on them. Don't think they were opened before though. @whatstcp tagged me originally.

My 2 tube bypasses purchased specifically for this TC setup was valved at 15/10. Per the tag on the shocks when I got them.

Just got off the phone with Sonny at DownSouth.
He is recommending 8/8 in the coilover, and 15/10 should be fine in the bypass. Soft in the coilover for flying down fire roads (since we dont really have whoops on the east coast)

Im also going to order 10/10 for the coilover just to have on hand.

Now I need to stop being lazy and weld on the TC bypass mounts, so I can get out to my buddies house and get started working on opening stuff.

Ordered 8/8 and 10/10 from Downsouth, + 1 qt of King oil. Came out to ~$250 shipped.

Couple hours later, TC sends me this. I provided to them, that I have ~175lbs on the front for bumper/winch/skid.

I still think Sonny's recommendation is on point, and going to keep my order the same - without the flutter

For the midtravel guys who see some whoops/desert stuff, what are you running valving wise with just a single 2.5 coilover up front with the normal steel bumper/winch?

nice..I have that set up but in Fox. They are a 2.5 triple. Only problem and you may have this too, is at full lock the tire rubs on the LCA secondary shock mount.

I have 35” tires. With 33s there was no rub. I have 4.5” of backspacing with a 1.25” TC said 33s was the intended use. 35” I need about 3” of BS which is a 1.5” spacer with my set up.

just giving you a heads up if you go the 35” route.

These are 315/75/16 with 3.5BS. I dont have any rub on the LCA, just the top of the fender wells, since I haven't clearanced those. Did a major cmc and flattened the pinch weld. Front fenders and flares are trimmed 2" too.

My tires have about 45k miles, but will probably be getting STT pros in the summer, and selling these for cheap

Bypasses that are going on are 2 tube

I’ll send you a picture. I have the same tires. It rubs on the bolt primarily.

maybe you have a different model LCA. I know they made multiple for the Tacoma

I have the dual shock mount Expedition LCA. Ive had them installed for a year and a half, no rubbing/issues. Bypasses are not in yet. Just ordered the valve stacks for the coilovers. Pretty sure ill have plenty of clearance

Most valving has some type of flutter stack in an effort to keep the ride quality and bottom out control.

What are you running now and what is your complaint?
