It would appear that Government could not find any accelerator problems, What a shame, it cost Toyota $$$$$$$$$ and for what? someone should be held accountable, just think of the damage done to this Co. I (along with many others) had this figured out a long time ago. some of these people had a free ride, lose control and blame Toyota, I hope Toyota has some recourse, Doc

NBC News just reported the investagation is far from over, they have an independent expert that can prove the fault is electrical, and they also reported profits are up with Toyota and they are evil capitalists where they don't care, they reported 90 people have died driving a Toyota and only 3 deaths can be linked to the the sticking accelerator problem, they also reported a policeman driving a Toyota lost his life with a sticking accelerator and pointed out he was trainned as a professional driver , and professional drivers don't make the mistake of pushing on the accelerator pedal thinking they are pushing on the brake pedal.

I'm still curious... How can no one who was involved in the sticky accelerator not figure out that if you take it out of GEAR, the car can't VROOM VROOM forward anymore? Just a thought...

Any really, come on. Who mistakes the gas for the brake. Are you kidding me?

This is why i beleive you should have knowledge of a VEHICLE to pass a driving test.. who gives a shit if you can stop at a stop sign and parallell park?! if ou dont know the basics about how a vehicle operates, then you shouldnt have a damn license.

Thats exactly what I said when I first heard about all this BS. If the gas is stuck on, pop the car in neutral. If the gas were really stuck on its just going to bounce off the rev-limiter. No big deal.

If Toyota and the US gov, were not in direct competition, this would be a non issue. If Toyota donated heavily to the DNC this would be a non issue. If Toyota would just allow 100% unionization this would be a non issue. BGut in our world, where Muslims are the "new" good guys and Americans are evil, greedy, imperialists intent on taking over the world and raping foreing nations of it's natural resources, this is how things work.
Just like the Tea Party is racist but the NAACP isnt!!!

Some of you may be too young to remember but Audi nearly got driven out of the US market in the 80's for the same thing. They were proven innocent but the damage had already been done to their reputation and it took them years to recover. If Toyota were not a stand-up company do you think they would be buying back tacomas with rusty frames that are LONG out of any type of warranty? Of course not. And the officer in California that died (along with some of his family members) was not a moron. This case was proven to be a floor mat issue. It had the wrong all weather mats in it and they were jammed into the pedal. It was not his vehicle, it was a service loaner from a dealer. He was not familiar with it or the operation of the start/stop button. But of course neutral would have been an option. Put yourself in that kind of situation. You are in an unfamiliar vehicle racing out of control in traffic. You've already overheated the brakes. Theres not a whole lot of time to think.

With the neutral on the Prius, as I understand, it does not mechanically connect to the transmision. It is just a switch that looks like a gear selector. People were saying they where putting them in neutral and even park and they were still going. The thought that I have to ask a computer to put it in neutral for me freaks me out. I love my manual.

Also tests were done by NASA showing that there were no electrical problems to any of the cars tested after the whole prius incidents and Toyota even paid something like 48 million dollars if their own money.

Yea, I never once thought the vehicles were to blame. I mena Toyota would be the ones who would want to fix it if it was an issue, but you notice all they did was reflash the cpu to cut the injectors (nothing to do with the odd accerating issue) and cut the pedal?? Heres your sign... Oh, and FAIL... :D

:facepalm::facepalm: Oh please, what the fuck does anything in your post have to do with a stuck accelerator !!:confused:

THE WHOLE STUCK GAS PEDAL THING IS THIS:

I'm no fan of this administration but I'm smart enough not to be confused, your post sounds like something from a Rush Limbaugh bit, take your post back to Craigslist R&R & come back when you can stick to the issue, Jesus !!

The fact is that CHP was on his fucking cell for over 2 minutes explaining to some 911 operator what was going on, instead of making a hard right up the freeway embankment !! What the hell good that phonecall was going to do is a mystery to me, I live about 4 miles from where that happened in Santee,ca & know that stretch of freeway well. I promise you I'd do what I mentioned instead of talking on the phone....

Lets be honest the gov went after toyota because they had a vested (or invested) interest in bringing GM back from the brink of death. So how do you even the odds...you create doubt about the competitors product ...not that toyota is completely innocent they are a corporation after all.. They knew they might have an issue of some sort.

You can take your opinions and insults and shove them right up your back side.
It might not have anything to do with the sticking accelerator but has EVERYTHING to do with how it was handled by congress and the media

I will gladly take my opinions & insults & shove them up my backside if you can point out one thing relevant to the issue. Is it the imperialistic take over of a country's resources ? Or is it the racist tea party/naacp thing that makes it relevant ?? You DO realize that Toyotas are made in the US also don't you ? So where is the "direct competition"?

And how do you know I'm a typical liberal californian ?? (thats a bigger joke than your post) Thanks for the negative reps (not that it means anything ) Oh well carry on .....:rolleyes::rolleyes:
