    Just a mock up.

Did the bottom plate only to undo my front bumper and find I'm missing multiple bolts.

    20220328_164636.jpg

Hoping by Wednesday the shop is cleared up of all the stuff we made. Had no room at all to pull the welder outside, nor did I have room to bring the LC inside.

Least I bought new M12 bolts. Just missing 2x M10 bolts as the hardware store had none.

Looks good! I need to make two single scepter holders. Did you cut your own?

Is most of the force directed down and forward during a winch pull? I've never really studied it or tried to think it through. I know of course the the angle between what is being pulled and the winch drum affects it, but just thinking in general, say a straight pull, level rope/cable.

I didn't know if you are building a kit or your own design. Since you are so early in the process, might be good to consider if there are any additional gussets you want to add. Looks like something over the top of the frame horn might be good idea. Like an "L" rotated 90 degrees and used as an end cap.

I really liked this vid. It seemed worth sharing.

I watched that the other day, pretty wild. The viral videos spend more time editing than just learning to properly weld.

It must be a curse to be a welder at times.

I find myself watching these vids and the weld styles and I wonder how the thing they are making stays together.

I have this one from northern tool. Also available on Amazon if you rather shop there and still comes in right at the $200 mark

Most likely won't be using a winch. I avoid mud at all costs, and being solid axle, will do better than my prior IFS rigs. Thanks for the thoughts though!

It's a DIY kit from Coastal Offroad so everything is all laser cut and ready to weld.

I like that table! Hell, maybe as a non-welding table.

I've looked at that one, a lot, before posting on here.

Only complaints I've read is that it isn't completely flat. I don't expect to do much MIG on it, mainly TIG as I continue learning it.

I have that one and I've never noticed any issue with it not being flat. I don't do any super precise welding on it, so maybe there is some very slight issues, but fine for my level of welding.

I've posted this pic before, but I have a few add-ons on mine: outlet box; shelf; caster base; extension table for my saw; opposite side from pic is pegboard wall w/hooks. I love this table. It is perfect size for me. I have a roller stand for longer items. The clamping kit that comes with it is also really handy.

I also have the HF one you mentioned. I mounted it on one of their wooden dollies. If you look close, you can see the pits in the carpet. Gotta watch as I caught it smoldering a time or two.

I use it outside the garage.

Those 2 have been on my list.

If it's flat enough for you, then it's more than flat enough for me!

My *only* concern is receiving one banged up and damaged. Many report loving their table, and those with low stars stem from shipping damage.

It's either, get 1 Klutch table or 2 HF tables.

    Hmmmm...

That's a nice steup. I had to butt weld a few sticks of 2x1 to get to 72" yesterday. I've got about 18 or 20 clamps and a few good hunks of straight steel. It was straight when I finished but it looked like the fricking space station for about 13 minutes. LMAO.

I also have the same KLUTCH Table. When it arrived I was sure something was going to be broke or bent, but everything was fine. The top is completely flat and the clamps work well for me. I'm very happy with this table.
