So there is a noise coming from the driver side and I can’t figure out what is causing it. It happens when I pull off from a stop I drive a 09’ trd off-road access cab with a 6spd trans. I also have a icon 3in lift with 33in tires. It sounds like something gets caught up but as soon as the truck gets above 5mph everything frees up and the truck drives/shifts fine. I just had the rear U-Joint replaced because of vibrations when I shift. Thank you any help will be appreciated.

Can you describe the sound a little better?

Since it’s happening at a low speed I would go torque down everything on your suspension, and while you’re at it jack her up and turn the wheel back and forth and see if you can find any play or isolate the noise. Visually inspect everything. Spin the wheel while it’s off the ground and listen for any issues with the bearing.

It’s kind of a rubbing noise like something is rubbing on something but I can’t really tell

Do you know how to check for a bad wheel bearing? When the bearings are shot, it will make a grinding noise. This noise will get worse and louder over time.

Do a search on youtube so you can see a good visual on how to check. This could be your problem, but if not then at least you can rule that component out.
