No way Jose! When they sit on the lot for a few weeks the price will come down. I have seen some dealers mark down a few 4R Pro’s from 10k over to 5k over.

I just laughed and walked out. Ended up with a used 2020 ORDC with 7,500 miles on it instead of a new Pro.

There IS no lot sitting, at least not around here. Every single Pro is generally being spoken for many, many weeks prior to delivery according to all 3 dealerships around here. The only ones not are ones where orders, or the local search, whatever Toyota calls it, get cancelled.

You wont see any Pros that will sit on the lot for a long while Id have to guess. At least that is the case for my area and the surrounding tri-state.

Maybe! The special color is a little to special for some! IMO. The only ones around here that are pre sold by my search’s are the non ELM’s. At least one black and a few white! Also, basically all that are in the pipeline seem to be 99% ELM. Seems as if they wanted to build the special color first which is ass backwards from past years!

Yeah, there are no Pros around here nor any other kind of Tacoma. None of the dealerships around here have any Tacomas what-so-ever. I drove my 2020 DCORLB back to our biggest dealership afterwords to see if they had gotten in a Luna Rock 2022 a salesman mentioned and that same guy who quoted me the +7000 market adjustment offered me +500 more than I would have paid for a 2022 for my 2020 with 7500 miles on it at the time (sans market adjustment of course).

Crazy times indeed! Shit’s not going to get better anytime soon either! Hell maybe I should list my 4R for $60k like everyone else. Unfortunately prob wouldn’t be able to get into any other ride. Lmao!

Dealers here are asking 13k to 25k on pros. We have one dealer that sells for msrp in Arizona and they as you can imagine are saying more than 6 months and that’s being really optimistic. Lines a mile long. Used pros 2021 are foing for 10k over msrp and they are getting it sometimes more. All pros are spoken for except the ones at camelback Toyota at 20k over plus adds and bell road had 2 at 13k over looks like one sold. I got mine at 4K over from Toyota of surprise. They were getting 5k over pre pandemic so I’m fine with it and it’s exactly what I wanted.

My experience here in AZ has been very similar to yours. I received that same 20K dealer markup quote from Camelback Toyota, after they initially told me the only way to get one was to show up in person and bid against anybody else who showed up at a certain time (how about no). Desert Toyota wanted 10K for theirs. I suspect you're talking about Precision Toyota @ MSRP with that 6 month+ line? They told me the same.. I'm not holding my breath. I'm not convinced they have any humans working at Avondale Toyota, or at least any humans manning their internet inquiries....nonsensical email after nonsensical email and all of them looked like they were written by AI. Anyway, I think it is fair to say the Electric Lime Tacoma is a hot commodity.

    lol fuck that

As I find out what dealers are doing this sort of shit, I'm keeping a mental list so that if things ever settle back down to some sense of normalcy, I'll remember to not purchase vehicles from them based on principle.

We need to start making lists and posting them about dealers that sell massive mark ups and weird selling practices so lots of people do not give them business.

That's a solid review, I love that he called out Toyota on the lack of front recovery hook.

All trd off roads and pros have a front recovery hook, it’s just not red. Same hook that my 2005 trd off road had

Had a line on a ELM Pro 6sp man. Inquired about it last week. It showed up at the dealer earlier this week. They where 5k over and MSRP with a trade. I guess that dealer traded it to another local dealer. That other dealer's salesman texted saying they just got a Pro in that wasn't expected and they where moving it at MSRP. Kicker was it had some paint issue up on the top of hood by hood scoop. "We want this gone quick" I asked if they would take a deposit, but he said he can't for some reason blah blah. My take is he was texting another guy who inquired about one and texted me by mistake. Sometimes you get lucky, and other times these things slip though your hands especially with the Pro's.

Yup, gotta keep trying, I showed up 5 minutes after the dealer got allocation at Toyota of Surprise was on my way to Costco thought I'd stop by just to check. They had exactly what I wanted, guy actually came out and said yeah unfortunately it's a manual. I'm like oh bummer, well I guess I could deal with that see what you can do Paid 4k adm down from 6k they wanted. EL Pro Manual. Just right place right time. My 2021 Pro I got at Avondale Toyota they didn't know they had it on lot. It had off road stickers on the bed and was lined up with about 30 others all with offroad so when you looked down the line all you saw was off road. Lucked out got that at MSRP. I find that stopping by works best. Sales people don't seem to be that into working much now since it's basically an order taking job. As I mentioned in previous posts, just wondering how many got a few hundred $$$ from folks to move them up to the front of the list and hey u get me something there's a few hundred more.

After buying 60 cars over the years I think I am done after this. Keeping the 2021 4runner pro, the el pro, may be picking up a 70 to 73 trans am soon :)
