Same here. It's kinda weird, but ever since I got this 3rd gen I have noticed this as well. I just tried to keep mine simple and close to stock with some functional factory mods. I didn't even get fender flares.... keeping it old school like my first gen. F5s are the best wheel hands down for that understated and upgraded look. Still love these wheels as they really remind me of the stock steelies with some proper offset. The weight is nice and light as well which helps out with mpg on daily drivers. 20220212_134858.jpg

F5s look stellar. Have they ever released the stealth blue in 16"?

    Thanks for the pics all.

Nice! Did you make them yourself? Or does SCS sell them?

Plan on running the same size tires on the same wheels. Did you have to do a CMC to mount? or was lift and offset adequate? I'm trying to search for more information on this setup but I can't seem to find too many with it.

Also, do you think the 255/85/16 would've been a better choice to avoid having to do the CMC? If i have to do the CMC I will, but I'd rather avoid doing it for the time being.

You will need a cmc with 285s on -25 offset. I currently have about a 2 inch lift, 255 85 r16 cooper st maxx on 16x8 0 offset F5s. I have not done a cmc. There is slight rubbing on plastic at full lock while hitting a bump. I’ve never trimmed anything. I don’t have mud flaps. I recently bought a set of stealth 6 16x8 -25 offset to test fit my 255s. I can’t use those wheels without a cmc so I’m back on my F5s for now. I plan to do a cab mount relocation eventually for 35s.

its “driveable” but I definitely wouldn’t be doing any serious off-roading. I did trim a little on the corners of the fender liners right where they meet the fender flares. I can drive it and be at full lock and only rub when I hit an offset piece of pavement. Turning into a gas station or something of the sort. But yes a cmc is a must if your going to do any wheeling at all. I have mine lined up for next week. As far as the 255’s go, I can’t answer that. I’m not well versed in that area. Haven’t even looked into them because I’m not a fan of the skinnier tires. Personal preference. But to answer your question more directly, yes i would definitely advise a cmc.
