If it wasn't for all of you, TW, this thread. I would have absolutely no idea what's going on. I'd be in the dark with a company I couldn't get ahold of. This has been very helpful.

I’m up to watch some friendly banter. It’s always nice to see peoples’ true colors!

really though, I don’t think anyone will cross the line. This thread has remained more than civil. Very informative; but I’ve seen threads removed for less. It’s all about the opinions of those who hold the mighty ban power.

 at least he shows up to events, jumpy boi :boink:

After witnessing the aftermath of an SOS bumper peeling off a truck during what should have been a standard recovery, I have not been a fan of their products for at least 2 years now. No offense to affiliate friends who have attempted to get me good deals on their stuff, but for me personally, my armor comes from a large well-respected company that is known for excellent tax sales and group buys and not leaving people hanging.

Unfortunately that's part of the business, if your personal life gets in the way of doing good business, a lot of the times you can't do good business anymore.

And it's because of this forum that I've learned a lot about products I might have otherwise gone after, it's because of this form I've met a lot of great people who have helped me learn without breaking the bank or ruining my truck or getting hurt.

Kudos to everyone for keeping this thread 99.8% clean

I won't be showing up to ATR this year either headed to AZ instead to see some cool places. But I do try and get out and wheel.

I've seen a few different brands peel off these trucks. I was privvy to a few instances where shit shouldn't of happened that did. A good deal has to have a good value otherwise it wasn't a deal. That's the reason I'm even more picky on what goes on the truck and XJ and actually work with even smaller companies vs big name ones.

100% about the personal life getting in the way of business and visa versa too. I get the lead times and stuff like that but there have been a couple companies now seems like both will be dead that there was a certain modus operendi they did with the ignoring and not answering customers that was constant throughout the years. That's completely unacceptable. I wish crap like that didn't happen.

The GF wants to go to horshoe bend, the grand canyon, and antelope canyon. Don't worry we're renting a jeep or SxS and wheeling too

I have a question for everybody who has been waiting and waiting and waiting for their product:

What kind of customer support do you expect after the transaction is complete?

He won't even talk to you now, is that really going to improve later?

His lack of communication is unbelievably disrespectful to his customers, maybe even borderline criminal.

For me. I received a confirmation email 1st Dec21. So I expected 16wks+ for the product. Once March hit is when I started reaching out. After the first couple attempts at emails and no response, or phone calls that's when I found people discussing this issue on TW. Now that I have found out the reason for the lack of communication it makes sense.

Now I'm just curious what's going to happen with his business being sold. Who bought it!? What is this new business going to do? Why would someone buy this absolute dumpster fire of a situation!!

I will be contacting my bank as well as Military Legal for this issue.

Sucks though. Some dude trying to make gear for people, gets on the wrong side of bills, isn't enjoying work, is working solo, whatever it may be was having issue.

Communication before I placed my order was very good. Something like 2-3 emails a day for 3 days. I wanted just the front section of the WIY bumper kit they offered to build my own bumper off of. After that I got a email saying 5 weeks ETA, then nothing for the next two months. What really rubbed me the wrong was the dead silence after payment and removing his phone # from his website and google.

Geese! I hadn’t logged on here in a couple days lol. Didn’t know the thread blew up.
My end result was filing a complaint/case through PayPal. They gave eddy 14 days or something like that to respond. And now they have approved my refund. Haven’t seen it in my account yet but I did get a confirmation email from PayPal it was happening. I’m Sad to see SOS go down like this. I ran his products for many years without issue and really liked his work.

This isn’t about us, but we worked out any issues that we had years ago.

And we never took money from people and ghosted them.

We're staying in Page so I'll look it up planning on a day or 2 with no actual plans just winging it.
