Hahaha actually not much of a alcohol guy. Never really enjoyed the taste of beer enough to drink it often. Much better drinks out there IMO and wasted calories

I’ve been trying to cut back to cut more weight but fuck it I love it too much. I’d rather eat less.

I’m scheduled to start my keto cycle on Monday after this race. I think I’ma keep the beer in and cut the other carbs and see what happens.

Some people do whey for ease of protein. I drink beer for ease of carbs.

In the brewery we'd get it for breakfast too, as soon as the canning line was set up. Quality control is critical.

What a cluster of a race. Started off with a pace group for my goal. Pacer was… banking a little too much time the first few miles IMO.

Dropped off. Felt like shit. Was sick all day Thursday (you know when everything on your inside wants to be on your outside?). That probably was catching up with me.

Felt shitty and muscle pumpy (thats bad during a long distance run for all yall who lift and don’t run). Fell back by mile 4 more by mile 8. Caught up with hubs behind me mile 10. We finished with an great first road HM time for him and still a PR for me. 1:51:01. Not my A goal but I’ll take it!

I’m clearly an ultra runner and not a road runner. I couldn’t figure out my paces or set in a groove. I thought I was missing my goal by 10 minutes the whole time but finished 00:01:02 off my goal??? TF?

I’m gonna stick to the trails and wilderness from now on.

    Good luck @weldertaco today!

4th place. Some small technical mistakes cost me 3rd but overall the dudes in my group were all really solid. No one ran away with it and no one really just sucked either. 1st and 2nd were tied most the time and 3rd and 4th were as well.
1 second on a carry medley cost me 3rd place. And a mis step on the yoke cost me 1st place.

I love strongman for this reason tho as it’s not only who’s strongest but who’s fastest.
I hit every goal I set out to hit but the other guys were just stronger. It be like that. No regrets or excuses from me. Time to train for one in July.
