I have a my son's 2006 Taco sitting here in my shop. Found a major failure on the D/S motor mount. The perch has broken away from the frame. I am in search of a good set of mounts that can be welded in to repair this failure and not have anymore issues. Not looking for a patch job as it has been quite the task to remove the motor and tranny. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum! One of the mods might move this into the 2nd Gen Tacoma side of the house. Did it break away from rust, or something else?

    So

This isn't a common thing. Is this a salt country vehicle? Was rust involved?

If so, be sure the rest of the frame is in good enough shape to safely use before repairing

No rust, Cali rig. As I am not an engineer I can only say it looks like a weak set up. Thanks for the response

Thanks for the reply, No rust, no salt country rig, just looks as though the motor mount perch is collapsing into the frame
