Goodmorning, hope your daughter gets feeling better soon.
I have no work today because dentist appointment for a small cavity needs fixed. The pump we started working on earlier in the week needed to have more of it replaced than originally anticipated. So they did ask me if I would be available at all today and through the weekend...I told them yes and even admitted that dentist called and got my appointment moved up to earlier this morning
I have the impeller machined and the case wear ring machined so really they should be able to finish without my help.
I remember last April fools day that one Bob guy got me good, I thought for sure my phone had been been compromised

Hope she feels better Shane, rough when you're used to being able to fix things and you can't help the kiddos feel better.

Being in the union is new to me with the ins and outs of how it works. We have a rolling year to year calendar of overtime hours worked and I'm at the bottom end, meaning when nonscheduled work pops up I'm the first one forced to come in. Forced hours count double on that list. I can jump to second shift if there is a need(there is) and be averaged back into middle of the pack after a month. Or I can just hope they dont force every weekend. Not sure what to do but I do know I want a weekend off, been on about 4-5 straight now.

We get this Honey teriyaki sauce from Honeyville in Colorado whenever we get out there. So good

It might suck now but it’ll payoff in the long run. Talk to some of the old timers to see how they got through being the ‘new guy’.

We get so used to being "the guy" -- call us and we come save the day. We make it go, make it flush, make it light up, whatever gets thrown at us we have a solution.

And then it comes to what is actually most important, our people (and our pets too) and there we are, powerless.
It truly hurts, I think maybe more for guys like us (Wrenchmen) than the average fellow even.
