I had this thread bookmarked so I could eventually buy one when the time was right.

Some reason the link isn't copying to my clipboard. Ordered one up for my 4Runner and it came in super fast.

It was pretty damn beefy too.

The design is rather simple though so if you can weld, I'd suggest DIY.

 

I can’t weld but I have friends who can.

Was thinking of gabbing something for sure but if the price is reasonable I don’t mind supporting small businesses.

 

It's what I did.

Bought it but never mounted it; got rid of the 4R.

But he makes the same winch mount for Tacoma's too. Lists his number on his site and also posts on FB.

Definitely support him as he's a one man crew

 

What's everyone's thoughts on this set up blocking air flow to the radiator and/or a/c condenser?

 

Hasnt been a problem for me yet and I haven’t read about Other people having problems with the Ampd Up plate

 

You know, tons of people run aftermarket bumpers with/without a winch.

Many winches in after market bumpers are not tucked right up against the radiator and/or a/c condenser like this mount is.

Hence the question about this specific product.

 

Only complaint I have about the ampd up plate is the lack of skid plate mounting holes, but that’d be easily fixed if I wanted to put the effort in.
