Made in Germany? Da! No wonder the engines are junk. Similar to Mitsubishi's Getrag sealed manual transmissions of the 90's on their 3000GT's. They were junk also (and horribly notchy as if they were garbage enough).

Wellllllll....I don't know about that, at least for the BMW brand. LOL! N63, N62, M54 when over heated, N20, N54 for turbos and injectors, N54and N55 for crankshaft friction disks slipping causing the timing issues.

They have some good cars and engines. Don't push some to hard. Stay on top of leaks. Be prepared for valve guide seals on the v-8's.

 

I'm kinda interested.. But only to dyno it, and other intakes/bolt-on mods. Maybe if no one else is interested.

He has a t56 already installed. Just needs the trans

Okay. So the Magnum t56 is just overall a better performance upgrade trans than the Tremec.

is one only limited to 2wd with that? or is there a transfer case thats compatible? asking.....for a friend.

 

its basically rwd only. I mean you could do a divorced transfercase if you have the room.

 

does excessive lift help?

 

Id be psyched on this t56 and keep my 4x4. And well Ive not seen one back when I was really interested 10 years ago but that was along time ago. And as @o0opackersfano0o said. We’re talking a lot of money to have the adapter plate, trans, and custom transfer case

 

with clutch i figure 8k...if i knew how.
