    hello all.

So i have a 2021 4x4 trd sport model with a push start button and was looking at COMPUSTAR'S T12 REMOTE SYSTEM WITH THE 3 MILE RANGE AND FANCY LCD 2 WAY SCREEN. I just got done talking to the installation tech over at best buy and he says i would have to install the basic remote start kit from COMPUSTAR(Compustar 1-Button Remote Starter T-Harness Kit (2nd Gen) Installation Required Black RS1B-DC3 - Best Buy) for $299. so to add that 3 mile range 2 way kit with the fancy lcd remote that sends alarm notifications, door open/close/lock/unlock info(Compustar 1-Button Remote Starter T-Harness Kit (2nd Gen) Installation Required Black RS1B-DC3 - Best Buy) would be PLUS $449 BECAUSE it is an "UPGRADE KIT" to the previous module. now to add the ALARM KIT(compustar alarm - Best Buy) would be $119 on top of $299+$449+$119 for a GRAND TOTAL OF $867+tax w/no installation fees. so total for this 3 mile range with that fancy remote that does and says it all with 3 modules he says he has had issues with toyotas in the past because of their remote start system. the remote start system will not work with my key fob lock button but will start with the toyota remote services app. i am currently on the 1 year free trial of the app and the app for me is not worth $100/year because it does not always communicate with the truck after the 1st go. i do really like this 3 mile range remote start/alarm/notifacation on the rechargable lcd remote but the installation tech at best buy claims i will have to have toyota remove that remote start system out of the truck and then also claims i will have to take the installation elsewhere because he has had no luck with toyota's in the past with their system. i am willing to do the installation myself but is what this guy saying about having to remove the factory program of the remote start true? has anyone else ran into this issue? sorry for the long write up. TGIFF! CHEERS!

Just go with N2 design, and get moble app. Factory system doesn't need to be removed. Contact N2 design.

but the 3 mile range from truck to my pocketses with no internets needed+ alarm adjustable sensitivity notifications though...3 mile range with no internets to phone notifications would be really nice for me while i am in the woods hunting or fishing.

    N2 offers long range (3500 ft) 2-way remotes as a $159 add-on to the $199 remote start.
I have the cell app and would suggest it, but if you want long range remotes this would probably be a good option.
