I have a red color scheme on my truck. I've slowly been adding red accents. I've been toying with the idea of plasti dipping my stock body color flares red. Possibly painting the mud flaps red as well. I have some crude kindergarten style mock ups. Thoughts? In the end it's obviously up to me but I'm curious what people think. I haven't seen this look on any truck let alone a taco. You either have body color or black...

Listen it’s not my thing or style but IF I were to do anything red like that…I would either put a red pinstripe from the headlight to the tail lights or red stripes down the middle of the truck. (Dodge Viper has them)

Think the red flares would make it look like you replaced them and couldn’t afford to paint match them. Just my honest opinion.

IMHO that's not gonna look right. That's gonna be too much red. I would leave them silver.

What's the phrase the cool kids use?

    "Hard no"

Yea, that's it. Whether the cool kids use the phrase or not.

I saw someone selling their tacoma kinda like yours but with yellow trim just like youre wanting. Lets just say its still for sale….

if you do go forward with it I wouldnt do plastidip, I dont know much about alternatives but in my experience plastidip is best for emblems/overlays!

Its your truck, and plasti dip is easy enough to reverse if looks awful, but I would give it go, but I painted all my skid plates cat yellow, so I might not be the best advisor on what looks cool.

No red flares. That wouldn’t be considered an accent but just a two-tone color of your vehicle I would do you center caps, front skid plate

Thanks for the opinion. I do have the center caps, all badges accept the rear(NE weather), some grill accents and the KC light cages done in red.
