That is the best thing I have read in weeks. I live on a creek and I promise I will copy that letter and send it if they contact me asking for permission to come onto my property. I quit putting in for the draw since I gave them money for many years and not getting drawn. KY elk draw is a bunch of crap. I know people who have been drawn multiple times. I’m just waiting to get one with my work truck. Lol

You think KY elk draw is screwed. Here in PA we've had an elk hunt, by draw for 22 years. You didn't draw you got a PP. In 2019, they implemented an early archery elk. Cool, right. No, PGC could screw up a one car funeral. If you applied for the archery elk, you lost all your PP's. That's right, guys that had been applying for 10,15, 20 years, started at ground zero. Yeah that sucks. We don’t even get points it’s pay us and perhaps if you know someone or are a coal operator that controls large tracts of land too bad. I am starting to understand the mindset of the outlaws that don’t even buy a license.

This was today’s catch. Got a small but intact hornets nest as a bonus.CB1471DC-A301-4F17-99D6-4B00B33CEA42.jpg

Wife and I use a local rail trail quite a bit during the spring, summer and fall. Last fall, after the leaves dropped, I noticed a hornets nest in a maple tree. Musta been hidden by all the leaves. It was maybe as big as two basketballs, maybe 10' up and right off the trail. Never knew it was there.

I found what I thought was an empty wasp/hornet nest once as a kid. It wasn't empty. Never again.

I spent over an hour looking for the other side but no luck. It was close to a corn stubble field.
