As a kid we had orange, lemon, lime and peach trees in our backyard at one of our houses. Whenever the fruit was ready my dad wouldn't let us eat it because of the pesticides he would use on them

At the old house I had maybe 4-5 lemon trees, cactus, 2 orange trees and misc agave plants and more. I miss having fruit fresh off the tree hence the decision for an orange tree.

We could do a lemon tree, but I eat oranges like a fiend.

 

Lemon tree comes in handy for those whisky sours

You know that whole meme where you say you "like" eating something, and suddenly your grandparents stock up like crazy just for you?

That's how my in-laws are more oranges than I can eat right now. Well now I won't have to buy any!

I usually just have it on the rocks but a good Old Fashioned with bitters, rinds and a real Luxardo cherry is freaking amazing
