Looks pretty good to me, I don't see any of the usual bad signs. Really hard to tell from just a video tho.

So I went and looked at it, the frame is good, it was treated some years back by Toyota under the warranty. Its got 164k miles. Inside is nice, drives pretty good. It feels a little weak for what I would imagine a v6 would feel like. Coming from a 4 banger, I figured it would feel way more powerful. Check engine light is on though, he says its an O2 sensor. The guy is willing to sell for 7200. Does this seem like a fair price?

7200 bucks for a double cab is a steal.

Sounds like a safe bet. It may actually BE sluggish and in need of some TLC. Bring as many of the original ponies back via proper maintenance if you acquire it. Bet you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I'm gonna grab it even if I don't end up keeping it forever. It seems like its a can't miss truck.

Take another test drive to AutoZone/Advance/O'Reilly and have them pull the code for free

Judging by the transfer case and front drive shaft I’d say it’s 4wd

Looks good.....I'd pull couple/few plugs and see if its oil burner....
and run live data on a scanner, even a blue tooth one......
tap on the frame section above whole leaf..... from front leaf bushing all the way back to the shackles......

Sometimes a leaking head gasket will thro O2 codes.....so be careful there...

put your finger in tail pipe, is it water, oil, coolant, or white smoke at start up.....

So I talked him down to 7k and picked it up. Hope I dont get burned. I let the truck sit for a couple days and started it up. There was some water in the tailpipe and white smoke, but then after about 20 seconds or so the smoke went away. Is this typical?
