Reread this, are you seeking advice on how to do it without an indexing head?

If so, get you a flexible tape measure and wrap around it. Whatever the circumference is divide that by how many slots you need. For example if it’s 6” around and you want 6 slots make a mark every 1” and eyeball it.

I was asking for advice and I had used a flexible tape before.. I was trying to be too technical and have opposing slots but the measurements just didn't work out.

I did find a solution by dumbing it down and just let the slots fall where they should. In this case they were 3/4 of an inch apart.

    Same, same.

    Not done enough for me.

I will admit, don't bother feeding me an expensive cut of beef. You are wasting your money.

    I like it well done!

Neighbors are getting closer, 3 feet from my living room window. The perks of rural living.

When I moved here there were some odd ornamental trees, tall and skinny, the wood was kind of spongy, it didn't even burn really. One of them was right where that wire enclosure is in the background and it fell right in line where the deer are.

It laid there for a while (a few years) until I got around to cleaning it up, every spring the deer still dig the line where the tree fell more than 25 years later. :notsure:
