Trying a black mirror cover to see if I like it.

 

Too shiny. wrap the cover in matte

 

They look good with the smoked turn signals

 

Love the dappled shadow cammo paint job!

Had some carbon fiber vinyl wrap lying around and did the mirrors when got my turn signals & hood scoop also. Definitely lost 50+ lbs and feel lighter when I hit the gas now.

 

Finally recovered from getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed and headed back to work this past Monday. Had a pile of parts so opted to work on it a little at a time at work between customer cars. That plate bracket is driving me insane being up front. May order an aftermarket textured black valance, unless I can find a *I <3 tacos* with an actual chingadera on it. Front end transformation is almost complete.

 

I spray painted the chin piece with flat enamel. It still looks good 2 years later - it doesn't pick up rock chips like the original paint did.

Something about a color matched bumper just never sat right with me.

 

I had considered that. The holes from the plate bracket are my only gripe going that route.

 

Agree… wanted Army Green or Barcelona Red but settled for MGM (my 3rd choice).. probably for an old guy the gray is the best color.

 

My 99-year old father, a Marine pilot in WWII and Korea, had his 4 wisdom teeth removed on Christmas Eve, the day he arrived for flight school in Pensacola. In those days one of the first things you had to do so that they could retain only the fittest candidates was to require all to swim a mile, then tread water for thirty minutes. Dad had to do this immediately after having those wisdom teeth pulled. He said he bled so much the water around him was red during the treading. He graduated #2 in flying, #1 in navigation. The greatest generation. We owe them so much.

I don't suppose he flew the F4U Corsair while in Korea?

 

I hope to be a long-time resident of this thread...my new MGM SR5 is supposed to arrive sometime in the next 2 weeks.
