Not done yet, but got this nice chunk of cedar. It was about 1/2 out of square and wouldn't fit on any of my machines so I made up a quick track system. It worked surprisingly well. Gotta figure out where I'm going to mount it and design some brackets.

Did a little cleaning today and put some of my quilting mess away. Camping season is just around the corner and I've been spending less time each weekend sewing so it's time.
This is the scrap pile I've amassed this winter. Keep in mind this is just the tiny squaring up bits, nothing of any size that might be usable somewhere else
    It filled a grocery bag....

Made a couple serving trays for my curling club. First try with epoxy. Learned a lot of things not to do. The material is all recycled oak flooring and the stain is a water based gel. First time with gel stain. Like it a lot

It's not what I made but these are just too fun to not post them.

My wife started crocheting about a year and a half ago and has made no less than 30 baby blankets since. This is her latest. They are decorating the nursery in a barnyard theme.

    20220328_193148.jpg

Yes, it unfolds into a blanket.

And the 4th thing she made was this:

    20210111_224704.jpg

Still blows my mind how she went from a blanket to that so quickly.

Picked the miniature bush hog up from powdercoat yesterday and got it together and hanging out with some of the other implements I've made through the years.

What I learned through the years watching that series is that those remote controlled tractors are often guys like you in their home shop making them 1 by 1. I was shocked when I found out they've got their own little hydraulic pumps in there...

Have you tried vacuum stabilizing like they do for wood blanks before casting in the epoxy?

In many cases depending on the type of resin you're using, vacuuming can introduce more air than it would get rid of. Even with vacuuming, again, resin cannot 100% replace all given spaces within most objects, like food. Overall, vacuum chambers are typically much less efficient than pressure pots with many applications. Wood is a little more simplistic in nature; I can get rid of bubbles in wood with a pressure pot easily (The vacuum has some merits over the pot though depending on the way you plan to cure, etc).

That being said, putting actual food within dice is not my overall goal or something I'm very interested in, I'm only looking to emulate. Especially with the dice market the way it is, a lot of focus is put on "Balance" so if I cannot design my dice to have a full result throughout, I will be answering non-stop questions about how mathematically perfect a casual gameplay set will roll for them.
