Yeah, that sounds like a reasonable plan.

 

Although idk how you're supposed to remove your current one and add a new one if it's press on. It has to be removable in some way for maintaining the bearing.

 

@Digiratus wait are you sure you aren't missing a part? Magneson shows a nut too. Did you remove that already? Because if so you have to pull it off the nose still with a bearing puller.

 

I'm pretty sure I had to use a puller on my old one to get it off

 

No, no missing part. This how it came.

This looks very much like a 2nd gen Tacoma supercharger pulley setup.

 

So I just went on a road tuning drive with the Haltech powered supercharged RedHead... it's got balls now. It targets appropriate AFRs, it can get off the line... it pulls if you even look at the gas pedal. Some minor bugs and definitely more power left on the table, but right now it has a safe tune in it that easily makes more power than any ancient 7th system could. We will get a killer tune in it when there's more time. But I'm happy where we stopped tonight.

Camped in a familiar spot last night but with much more luxury

 

Can't wait to start tuning mine. Need to replace my manifold before I dive into that project though.

Went to bleed my clutch again in hopes of getting what I thought was an air pocket in the MC. Well a lot of air cam out. But feels worse. And then discovered that it looks like the MC is leaking still as there is fluid on the shaft in the cab..


So just gonna buy all new hydraulics at this point

When bypassing the alt fuse, which side of it do you reconnect to the battery?

 

There is a different wire connecting the fuse box to the battery them the alt wire. Just keep that one run.

Or run a cable from wherever you are putting a positive lug back into the fuse box on the alt lug in it. Nothing wrong with having the whole box still fused via that fuse. How I think mine is.

 

I threw that white wire away and made a new 6ga wire, but connected it to where the alt connected, sounds like it needs to go to where the white wire was.

That'll be a pain in the ass getting that tiny bolt started.

 

Now you can't even tell it's Haltech powered...

 

Single seater is an odd consolation.
