Nice setup. I miss my Nukeproof.

BB7 are the best mechanical disk brakes available for sure  Loved them on my old bikes before I switched to hydros.

Took a half day of work yesterday and was on dirt by 1pm. Pretty much the trails to myself and a nice 64° A slight moisture event [sprinkles] the day before made for perfect dirt conditions. I only ride these trails on weekdays as it’s gotten so popular weekends are packed.

In these photos I’m trying to show a section I call “The Spine”. Fun to hit at speed with a nice ledge drop on the left of it.

Called I9 yesterday, wheels are scheduled to be built in a couple weeks, should be in my hands at the end of April, right on time or a little ahead of their initial lead time estimate. Got some new rubber waiting for them (one of them anyway, reusing my rear tire but got a more aggressive front tire).

I just overhauled my daughter’s Cannondale F4000 SL. New brakes, new shocks, new tires… It was my very first serious bike that I bought in 2000. I’ve had this bike for 22 years. It’s still makes my heart melt every time I ride it.

Thank you. The company I built it for actually ended up donating it to the local high school mountain bike team. So I'd have to say they ended up with something pretty freaking sweet.

    Well she’s finished!
My Rodeo Labs Flaanimal 5.0 with Eagle AXS drivetrain is finally built up.

    A little backstory …
I had the 4.0 version of the Flaanimal built up with a Shimano 105 kit, but in January 2021, I had a freak fall on a slick bridge that caused the top tube to bend and twist. I was able to purchase the 5.0 with crash replacement pricing, but frames were a looooong way out. In that timeframe I decided why not upgrade the drivetrain even though the current one only had about 1400 miles on it. Not having a bike for a while makes you do crazy things. After more than a year of waiting for everything, I finally got it all together and couldn’t be happier.

The good thing about riding in Sonoma County is that there is always good post-ride Mexican food.

    Is this Skyline Park?
I'll be in Napa in early May and haven't been in much of Skyline yet.

Did a shakedown ride for the new gravel bike at Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz. Can’t beat the views.

At bike parts still hard to find. Sold an XX1 derailleur for $309 shipped today and have 3 more. It’s been slower lately, but I also haven’t been bumping my Pinkbike ads.

edit. Just looked the rear mechs have went up to $323 before tax. Maybe I need to bump my cost up to $320 shipped.
