So I know that for 2021, there were 4,000 4runners, 5,000 Tundras and 7,000 Tacoma's produced (or at least planned for production) but I've tried searching a good amount and can't find anywhere that talks about the numbers for the 22's. Anyone know? With a limited production package, would have been nice if they included a number plate, but I'll settle for just knowing the numbers lol

You are the only one. Special.
The truth is there are around 250K Tacomas sold each year.
The difference between a SR5 and a Pro is really not much of a difference except cost.

Lol I know how many tacomas are produced every year. But if toyota put out a statement about how many 21 trail editions they were going to build, I figured they would mention it for the 22s as well. I'm a numbers guy so it interests me

They did it for the first year. Depends on success to determine next year

What you do mean? 21s are no longer being produced and 22s are already out

If 2021 is a published year, the success of the trim will determine the quantity of the trim.
Take a TRD offroad. How many of those do they make a year?
    Same with SR. How many?
2wd vs 4wd. Access vs 4 door. Auto vs manual.
The answer is... they supply enough of each model and option to satisfy demand.
I'm quite sure that the ratios differ from year to year depending on demand but what they are is usually not public. Just like colors.

You're comparing every trim and option to a special edition package that was a limited production last year. I'm just asking what the production is limited to this year. If they didn't announce how many 21 trail editions would be built, I wouldn't be asking about how many 22s are being built. They announced 4k 4runners, 5k Tundras and 7k tacomas for 2021, why wouldn't they announce the numbers for 2022 trail editions? Especially after they gave the package a serious bump up

Limited to as many as they can sell.

I don’t actually think the success the success of the trim will determine how many they make. I think they know people are going to buy them no matter what. … let’s make a trail edition, base model, give it a locker, nice rims, little bit of height and throw in some coolers for shits and giggles. I mean look the Prius, Toyota has done some research if they can sell as many of those ugly ass f-ing things as they have.

With all the delays and how long it takes to get a truck, I'd say their ability to produce them will be more limiting than low demand, assuming there's low demand. And the only reason I'd see low demand factoring in is because most dealers are marking them up a lot more than off roads. I've only seen pros with higher mark ups than trail editions

I also don't see how the success of a $1700 package on 21s would determine how many $3700 packaged ones they make. It's the same name, but the only accessory that's the same is the stupid bed boxes

This is all just supply and demand. Now demand is high, and they will sell anything they make.

Maybe they need to do an inventory of the coolers and then they will announce how many they will make.
